As I stepped closer and closer until I was just about to turn the corner. I heard his voice, Dylan my boyfriends voice.
After I left 6 months ago after finding out I was adopted I went looking for my birth parents or relatives of there's, my relatives.
I did research and found out that some distant relatives of mine, my great great Uncle Harold stopped talking to my grandma and my great grandma about 40 something years ago and no one's heard from them since so I was planning on changing that.
After I left I kept in touch with Dylan and my best friend Lexi almost all the time. Every Wednesday, Friday and most Sundays Lexi and I would be on the phone for hours and Mondays, every second Thursday and Saturdays I would call Dylan and chat for 2 hours each call. Sometimes they wouldn't pick up so it would be about 4-5 days when I could talk with them again. For some reason I didn't even bother think about why they were together when they called, they always told me it was because it was for an assignment or that they both wanted to talk to me at the same time. I didn't take notice because they were the people I trusted most in the world, they were my best friends.

It was one step till I could turn the corner and see Dylan and maybe Lexi face to face.
3... 2... 1...
"Peek..." Right before my eyes was the last thing I thought I'd see. "Dylan? Lexi? What?"
"Harley! Look, I can explain!" Dylan let go of Lexi and took a few steps closer to me.
"Harley, I'm so sorry!" Lexi pushed infront of Dylan to get to me.
"No don't bother saying how sorry you are, cause your not sorry and you know it! I can't believe you two. You couldn't even be bothered to break up with me Dylan?"
"Harley, I promise we'll explain, it's not what it looks like!"
"You know what" I didn't raise my voice "it's my fault that I couldn't see that you two were in love, I'm sorry that I was standing in between you two," both Dylan and Lexi were confused, completely confused I just left them there. It only took one left turn and a walk to the end of the building to get to my locker. I unlocked it and hung my bag on the hook at the bottom of the door, I grabbed a empty duffle bag stuffed in side replacing it with some of my books. I also put my pencil case and gym clothes in too, it took me merely two seconds to zip the bag up and put it down on the ground making way for the duffle bag. Inside the duffle bag I put the rest of my books mainly my personal reading ones in and grabbed the photos off the door, all the photos were of Dylan and I, Lexi and I or all three of us, in one of the photos we took a year ago Dylan had his hand on Lexi's back awfully close to her bottom. 'Why haven't I seen that before, am I really that oblivious?' I had tears running down my face but that didn't stop me from packing my bags. This was the worst last day here, this stuck up school had good teachers and a mean principal but even I would miss principal Jeffrey, I've grown so fond of him and his ways. After the locker was empty I ran my hand along the edge of the wall feeling for the dint, I felt it and opened it, the hiding place was still there! And with the book I put in there was too. I pulled the book out putting it in my duffle bag gently, I closed the locker I didn't intend for anyone to use it again not a chance. With all of my newly found strength I squashed the lock in my hand preventing it to open that way, but that's what a crowbars for, so I push the door against the rest of the locker the metal over lapped all around I didn't know if that would do it probably not but oh well, worth a shot. I then picked up my bags flinging them over my shoulder turning and heading straight, past Dylan and Lexi down the other end of the building and to the running track where I intended on walking out. I had hit the track and Dylan was behind me pulling at my hand, arm and shoulder trying to stop me,
"Stop it! Let go of me!" I protested Lexi was following behind him and he managed to grab my school bag, which meant I had to stop.
"What do you want?" I was irritated and annoyed.
"Just stop and listen please I want to explain." He dropped my bag,
"Jeez what's in there that's heavy as fuck!" I picked up my bag and continued walking, he yet again grabbed my bags both this time and put them behind him infront of Lexi. I began walking to get them but he wrapped his arms around me from behind pinning my arms to my side. I squirmed and wiggled with no luck, but that changed as soon as something came running and jumped on top of him causing him to let go and fall to the ground in a triumph. The look on his face when he turned to see what it was, was priceless it would fuel my laughter for weeks. I broke out of my thoughts as soon as everyone crowding us screamed and stepped back in horror. Dylan however didn't move a muscle barely breathing.
"God! What took you so long!" I said annoyed and amused. Dylan met my eyes, he feared death was upon him,
"Zeus!" The thing that jumped on Dylan was none other than a wolf, my wolf. Zeus stopped snarling and walked to my side, I felt powerful next to him, I looked powerful, then to the other side was yet another wolf, snarling,
"And what took you so long?" I wasn't irritated merely joking, she huffed at the comment. Dylan was crawling backwards as more and more people stood behind me, some big and buff others were accompanied by more wolves. The whispers were contagious and there were still a couple people screaming but now there were teachers coming and principal Jeffrey, when the finally made there way to the front of the crowd they wished they didn't, they too screamed and jumped. It was amusing to everyone especially the wolves, Principal Jeffrey stood warily straight up not moving much,
"Harley!" His voice was demanding, a little, to much Zeus, Matrix and a few others were snarling, bearing teeth or growing yet again make every one squeal and take a couple steps back.
"Uh... Please explain this!" It was a demand but in a quieter less Principal voice, he eyed Matrix and she let a growl slip.
"Well Jeffrey's, you se-" I began talking
"Excuse me it's principal Jeffrey's to you, young lady!" I think he forgot about my friends behind me, a few warriors and there wolves took steps closer each ready for a fight more growling was heard.
"I'm sorry continue" he fixed the glasses on his face and kept quiet, rage and frustration boiling within.
"I would like for you all to meet my pack," I stated proud and fiercely then there was a voice from the left
"Pack?" It was Gemma Cantus school bully, most popular kid in the school and captain of the cheerleaders.
"Yeah, pack now let me finish!" I was getting annoyed one more interruption and someone would be dead.
"The Blood Moon Pack to be exact, after I found out about some distant family members I went to talk to them they only told me bits and pieces but it helped, after a week if detective work I found out they ran for the woods rarely heard from again, then I found the pack I introduced myself and they instantly told me everything, my blood line is the human Alpha Queen blood line, I'm the Alpha Queen of this pack!" The last words were spoken with pride.
"This is Zeus and Matrix the wolf Alpha King and Queen," I turned to face to person behind me to my left
"and this is my Beta and Gamma Gabe and Kiera, beside them are the wolf Beta and Gamma." Each word struck more curiosity but that's all I could say so I turned around and started walking away, two warriors grabbed my bags growling at Dylan I almost laughed but instead thanked them.
"Wait Harley! Where are you going?"
"Home" I didn't turn to see who it was but who cares, then I stopped dead in my tracks I had and idea.
"Just one more thing," all stares and glares now directed at me as I spoke
"does anyone want to join us? It must be of free will and you have to hand over your phones." There were gasps of joy. A small boy, only in year seven or eight but he stepped out of the crowd he got his phone out of his pocket and stopped, he bent over placing the phone on the ground then with a flick of his wrist it was at my feet. It was Matrix who picked it up giving it to me,
"Alright a new member of the pack welcome! What's your name?" He walked towards me and didn't stop,
"My name is Henry," he didn't stop till he was somewhere behind Beta and Gamma. I felt a wave of loyalty rush over me causing me to smile I was some how proud of him and his brave and bold personality, he would be a good addition to the pack for sure. Henry's action caused others to follow some stayed but the ones who came where a combination of brave and trustworthy. The were ten people left on top of teachers, Dylan and Lexi. Principal Jeffrey's didn't like what was happening but what would he do, if he made one wrong move he knew he was toast.
Dylan took a step forward putting his phone on the ground too sliding it over to me, I wasn't confused but Lexi was then she understood if you can't beat them join 'em. Zeus picked up the phone crushing it in his grip, he felt my anger towards Dylan. Lexi's phone was at my feet seconds later this time I picked it up, her password was the same, BFWH, standing for best friends with Harley. I knew she was scared I could smell it all over her from head to toe. I went through her phone at the messages between her and Dylan, there were emojis, I miss you and then I came across the thing that broke me in two. I fell back and one of the warriors quickly caught me preventing me from hitting my head, I wrapped my arms around him as he just sat and embraced me. I was a mess tears down my face I couldn't help it, the warrior held me tight not wanting to let go but one of the elders wanted me, Elder Joel.
She was like the grandmother I never had, and she held a place close to my heart, she has been in the pack for over 746 years though I was surprised at her young appearance I also knew she was wise like an owl. I sat there like a baby balling my eyes out. The warriors and Omegas made a circle surrounding the new pack members growling at them, I looked at them and the only one not scared was Henry! Why wasn't he scared? I sat up straight and Matrix came and picked the tears off my face, she hated seeing me upset. Zeus circled them some flinched, others snarled back, that wasn't a good idea each one not showing signs of submission were grabbed by the back of the neck and lined up. Only a couple of girls and half a dozen boys put there heads down and kept there eyes down, Henry just stood there getting knocked about a bit but never flinching, growling or grunting. I stood and Zeus came to stand by my side Matrix stayed with Joel getting pats. I walked over to Henry and smelled him, he was scared but to the untrained eye he was emotionless. I was amused and stood infront of him I loomed over him slightly and he kept his head down. I admired everything about him he was Beta or even Alpha material for sure, and that was rare for a human. Zeus nudged him in the back of the leg as I turned and walked away heading for the gap between the big wooden fence and the small wire one.
"Wait what about me?" I forgot about Lexi, and the smug brat she was, how was I so blind to her actions. I stopped and turn around, everyone standing between Lexi and I took a big step back creating a path,
"Oh right, sorry I forgot about you" I had a sarcastic tone but my words were the truth.
"How about one month of torture?" It was a rhetorical question of course but she answered anyway.
"No thank you?" I flicked my hand at her and in seconds she was held hostage by to guards.
"Good bye Jeffrey's and don't bother looking for them for if you come looking you may never return alive," I spoke spookily making others jump.
We left in complete silence.
