Chapter 119 - Chapter 119: Driving License

"Carol."

Just then, Mike said.

As Carol looked, he smiled and pointed to the farmland not far away and said, "Don't forget to take the rubbish out of there."

Stunned, Carol laughed, "I would've forgotten if you hadn't told me, I'll take care of it."

As she said this, she walked towards the area where the battle had just taken place.

"Dad, I'm hungry."

Eric whispered to Mike.

They had only gone to buy groceries, but they had no idea that so much had happened in the back.

Mike smiled and said, "I'll make you something nice today."

After today's events, the three boys had gained new achievements and had grown in their ability levels, so it was time to celebrate.

"Talos, come along."

Mike greeted.

Talos froze and said gratefully, "Thank you."

"What about me?"

Nick Fury pointed to his nose.

Mike said, "I'll consider doing your share if you do the dishes later."

Nick Fury laughed and said, "No problem, I'm good at washing dishes."

If there was a recorder, Mike would have recorded it and released it when he became Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. ...

A few moments later, after Carol had taken the body of Yon Rogg back to the ship, she returned to Mike's house and chatted with the group while they waited for Mike's dinner.

Clark entertained Goose while Eric and Charles played with Talos' daughter, who turned into Charles with a gasp.

As they watched, Talos and his wife looked at each other and smiled.

Their lives seemed to be going in the right direction.

Soon, the scent emerged from the kitchen.

"Clark, come and get the food!"

Mike called out to Clark.

Clark quickly walked into the kitchen and a plate of delicious dishes was brought out.

Just by looking at the dishes, the crowd could not help but praise them, and after they had tasted them, they even gave them their thumbs up without hesitation.

When they heard that the Skrulls were looking for a new home, Carol remembered Mar-Vell's words and decided to go with the Skrulls to help them find a home.

Because, she felt, the Skrull's needed her more than ever at this time.

The decision was made and as Nick Fury went to wash the dishes, Carol said to Mike, "Mike, I really appreciate you this time."

Mike smiled and said, "Just don't bring any trouble when you come back in the future."

Carol couldn't help but laugh and said, "I'll talk to Fury and we'll be on our way."

Mike nodded.

Carol walked into the kitchen and after they had said something, Carol and Nick Fury walked out of the kitchen together and took the Talos family and Mike with them as they said goodbye and drove off in their spaceship.

Looking at Mike and the others as they disappeared from view, Carol said to Talos, "You guys go back to the lab, I have some things I need to take care of."

As her memory returned, she remembered her best friend, and she wanted to meet her before she left.

Talos nodded and said, "No problem."

...

At the door of Mike's house, Mike and Nick Fury stood, Nick Fury looking at the calm sky with a melancholy look on his face.

"There's been a lot going on today."

Nick Fury sighed.

Mike nodded and said, "It's a good thing my house isn't in town."

It was a lucky day because he lived far away and no one else saw the fight.

Nick Fury hummed and said, "Thanks for saving me today."

Mike grunted softly and suddenly said, "So much for sighing, are you done with the dishes?"

Nick Fury's face froze.

"Not going to wash it then?"

"I've got it ..."

"You're done, get in your stupid plane and go, it's taking up too much space."

"Oh!"

Nick Fury responded feebly.

Mike grunted softly and turned to walk into the room.

Looking at Mike's back, Nick Fury smiled and shook his head.

Had Mike really been a killer before?

Life has changed him now, I guess, the three kids ...

He looked at the three kids playing and listening to music and gave a smile.

I'm so jealous.

...

A few months passed by and the three kids never stopped growing.

Sixteen is one of the more important turning points in a child's life.

At least, that's how Clark, Charles and Eric see it now.

Charles and Eric were envious of Clark's freshly minted driving licence.

Although there were some restrictions on Clark's driving due to his age, it was enough to get them excited.

"Come on, let's show you around."

Clark loaded his license and tossed the keys he and Mike had just asked for.

Charles and Eric 'heckled' and the three of them pushed and shoved their way to their car.

After starting the car, it moved with Clark's skillful manoeuvring and headed off into the distance.

Their house was a long way from town, so he wouldn't have dared to drive alone.

By law, at his age, he needed an adult to accompany him if he had just received his licence, otherwise he would be punished if he was caught.

As the car hit the road, Clark drove at a leisurely pace, but as he watched the scenery moving slowly behind him, Clark unconsciously picked up speed.

60, 70, 100, 120, 150 ...

Clark didn't feel a thing, it was much slower than he was going.

Charles, sitting in the passenger seat, unconsciously pulled at the handle on one side, but with a look of excitement.

"Come on! Go that way!"

Charles excitedly pointed the way.

Clark swerved, the wheels scraping against the ground with an ear-splitting thud, and the car lurched towards the side of the road.

It was too fast, and he hadn't slowed down at all in the turn.

But Eric's reflexes were not slow, and as the car was about to roll over in the next second, he gripped it in his palm and an invisible force pulled it back into balance and onwards.

"Yoo-hoo!"

The three men cheered.

The three of them were excited to hear the violent roar of the engine, and Clark was gradually off the original route, farther and farther away from home, and the excited ones did not even notice that a police car was parked on the side of the road to check speeding ...

The car whistled past.

The police officer inside froze, scanned the speedometer, looked at the crazy numbers and said angrily, "How arrogant... !"

That was a complete disregard for him!

He roared and drove after the car.

But to his dismay, the car in front of him was so fast and didn't even slow down when turning.

"Stupid car!"

The policeman slapped the steering wheel with indignation.

But the next moment, he looked at the smoking car in front of him, froze, and laughed.

"Haha... !"

...
