"What did you say? You want to have a baby with me? Do you have a fever, Clara?" asked John, as Clara expressed her desire to have a baby with him.
He just couldn't figure it out. What made the woman have the idea of getting pregnant? Was she in love with John? Or is there another plan that she is preparing, and to facilitate that plan she must be pregnant?
Whatever it was, John needed an explanation from the woman who was now his wife.
Not really a wife. John didn't even have feelings for her, at all. Or maybe he didn't realize it. And if Clara really wanted a baby from him, at least she had to give a reason that was reasonable and acceptable to John.
"John, I'm serious." Because indeed Clara had never been so serious all this time. For her, this marriage is just a covenant. At first. However, what happened now?
Has Clara changed her mind?
John straightened his seat, straightened and faced Clara. He also turned his body to face Clara.
