Jenna's words should have come as a surprise. Unfortunately, Clara didn't seem surprised at all. How could it be?
"Aren't you surprised?" Jenna asked, surprised to see Clara not reacting at all.
She then simply pursed her lips and glanced the other way, as if trying to avoid Jenna's gaze.
Jenna grabbed Clara's arm and shook it. Expecting Clara's reaction at this time seemed quite difficult. The girl didn't seem to want to say anything, but Jenna didn't want to give up on knowing the background of the problem she was facing now.
"Clara, why aren't you surprised?" she repeated.
"Because ...." Clara didn't continue her sentence. However, it made Jenna realize that she might have been betrayed by her own best friend.
Jenna widened her eyes. Did Clara's attitude and her nervousness prove that she had known the truth about Ryan all along? If so, why didn't she warn Jenna at all?
