"I still want you to be aware that this is not a good place to be," said Tsotsoo to Mamle. "You are beautiful and a very likely candidate for our activities."
"Candidate? What have I done and what are the qualities they are looking out for?"
"Don't worry your head with that. It will add to your headache."
"I've had more than a headache to deal with," said Mamle, sighing heavily.
"I know. We'll have to get you out of here soon; but, first of all, I'd like to know whether you would like to go back to the hospital"
"If you could take me to a place you know which is far better than this place, I would be grateful."
"Give me an idea," she asked.
"I like sewing and painting and anything to do with fashion generally. If you could take me to a place close to that, I would be very grateful," she said, repeating her previous plea.
"This is a very difficult request, but I'll make a few calls and see what will come out of it."
"Thanks."
True to her words, Tsotsoo, very well acquainted with personalities in high places made a few enquiries and soon, Mamle could move to a safe place, exhibiting her talents. In no time, Tsotsoo had helped her set up her shop to advertise her wares, bringing her much wealth.
