I Am A Winner

- Jekalyn Carr -

==========

She swallowed hard, hoping that what she was afraid of didn't happen. Yes, she was worried that Vince would use Feiying as a tool of revenge for Ruby.

Ruby knew she was wrong about this too. She was too angry and overwhelmed just because Vince hadn't contact and said anything in the last month in London. Her mind was confused imagining Vince busied with the young girls there.

Because of that, she immediately fell lulled when she met again with Benetton, her ex-boyfriend that she, unfortunately, didn't know was the father of Vince. And Ruby was in too much of a rush to say yes when Benetton proposed to her. Ruby was on the verge of giving up by then.

Turned out she was wrong about Vince. And that was irrevocable.

Now when Ruby turned her head to Vince, the man was already sitting on a chair with his shirt free from his tie while being affectionately towards Feiying who was standing in front of him.

Knowing that he was being watched by Ruby, Vince glared at his stepmother, then wrapped one arm around Feiying's thigh, so the girl couldn't deny the man's romantic attitude.

The movement was so intimate and attractive.

Not only Ruby was holding her breath until she was short of breath, the women who worshiped Vince in the room also felt their chests tighten suddenly when they saw their beloved prince did that to a woman they did not know from.

Ruby flinched at the sight. She rolled her eyes in disgust, then took Benetton back to the aisle with the excuse that she was hungry and thirsty. Her husband obeyed.

Vince snorted happily, feeling triumphant at the evidence that Ruby had gotten off the dance floor.

The handsome man looked up at Feiying. "May I be honest with you, Feifei?"

Feiying nodded. "What?"

"I seem to like you, Feifei."

Feiying flinched slightly. Didn't think she would be 'shot' here. Even lost for words to answer.

"But ... some people don't like it when I'm attracted to you," Vince said.

Feiying lowered her head while touching Vince's raven strands. "Who?"

"My new mother," Vince straightforwardly looked at Ruby who was stealing glances at him.

Feiying was shocked, reflexively looked at her aunt. "Aunt Xuehua?"

Vince looked up again at Feiying. Nodding before replying, "Yeah, it seems she doesn't like it when I want to get closer to you."

Feiying stared at her aunt for a moment, then looked gently at Vince. "Auntie must have her own reasons if that's the case. I'll ask later. You don't need to worry, ok! Auntie is a very good person." She lightly touched Vince's bushy eyebrows.

"Umh ... well. I hope what you said about your aunt is true. Feifei, could you please get me some fruit sorbet?" Vince asked. He had just seen his father leave Ruby to talk to an important guest in the other corner.

"Okay. Just a minute, please wait." Feiying obeyed and went to find the sorbet that Vince wanted.

As soon as Feiying left, Vince rushed to Ruby and whispered something. "I hope you don't talk nonsense to your niece if you don't want me to open all your cards, Ru. You remember how many intimate videos we had, right?"

Ruby's eyes widen. When she wanted to answer, Vin had already left, returned to his previous seat before Feiying came with the sorbet.

Vince grinned triumphantly at the furious Ruby.

When the party was over, Vince took Feiying to his car. Where to? Hotel? Ruby had seen that Vin's car was carrying her beloved niece. She couldn't catch up.

"Hey, hey, why, baby?" Benetton grabbed his wife's frantic arm.

"Ben, Ben, please stop your son. He ... he took Ying'er!" Ruby was seen pleading with her husband.

"Darling, never mind. Just let them live the life of their youth."

"Ben, look at you! No wonder Vin behaves like that!"

Benetton didn't seem to like his wife's words. "Xuehua, I ask that you keep your word. Moreover, there are still guests who haven't go yet."

Ruby took a deep breath to calm down. She shrunk to see Benetton's sharp gaze. Maybe she shouldn't have said that so bluntly. After all, Vince was Benetton's only child, of course, he is very loved and defended. "Hghh ... okay, I'm sorry. Can we go home now?"

Surprisingly, Benetton agreed. He also took Ruby to say goodbye to the remaining guests and got the wedding car to the Benetton mansion.

Just entering the living room, it turned out that Vince was already with Feiying, kissing. Feiying quickly pushed Vin away as soon as she found out that her aunt was coming with Vin's father.

Ruby took a deep breath. "You two got along so fast, huh! Should I give both of you medals?" Ruby talked sarcastically while folding her arms in front of her chest.

Benetton touched his wife's arm. "Let's go to our room, come on."

Vince rubbed the lips that had kissed Feiying with his thumb. He smiled sinisterly at Ruby. "Stepmother, shouldn't I like Feifei?"

Ruby, who was actually going to follow Benetton to the room upstairs, turned to face Vince. "Of course, I don't mind if you really love her. By the way, her name is Feiying. Oh, apparently you've given my niece a nickname."

Vince snorted in amusement. "I always give special nicknames to any girl I love. Would stepmother want it too?"

How angry Ruby's heart is right now. She wanted so badly to slap Vince if it was just the two of them there.

"Xuehua, come on, don't be so angry with them, give Vin a chance to prove his affection for Feiying." The big master stroked the edge of his wife's waist, then turned to his son. "Vin, don't call her stepmother anymore, that's very unpleasant to hear. Call her Mum or Mama."

"Ahh, sorry, Papa. Mama's call is only specifically for women who have given birth to me. Okay, I'll call her Mom, how about it?" Vince raised his eyebrows.

"Good. That's good too, Son." Mr. Benetton nodded approvingly.

"Auntie, I beg you not to be too hard on Vin." Now Feiying dared to speak up. "I ... I also like Vin. We ... like each other, and I ... I also want to give Vin a chance to prove himself to me. Please, Auntie ...." The niece immediately grabbed Ruby's two hands to hold closely, implying earnest supplication.

Ruby snorted in annoyance. It felt like there was no one in this room on her side. "Well, it's up to you." She looked away with a sharp glance at Vince, then went up first to her husband's room.

Mr. Benetton patted the boy on the shoulder and nodded understandingly. "Take Feiying to his family, Son."

"No, Pa. I want Feifei to stay here tonight." Vince answered. Ruby had entered the room. If she had heard, she might have howled in disapproval.

"Hah?" Mr. Benetton was shocked. "Are you serious?"

"Of course I do seriously. I have permission to Feifei's mother, and she allowed it." Win smiled triumphantly. Even though he permitted Feiying's mother and using Feiying's aunt's name. But Benetton certainly didn't know.

"Well then. Is Feiying going to sleep-"

"She will sleep in my room, Pa."
