With Jonathan escorting the girl out of the building that left their current group to 8 people in total which was the original number but now they had just swapped out Jonathan for Sylas who was, in theory, a better option, to begin with.
"How deep does this thing go?!" Alexis said as they kept walking down the never-ending stair case that they had been on for over 5 minutes. It wasn't like they had just been sitting still or walking at a really slow pace but instead had been moving quite fast down the stairs which made the fact there were still more even more surprising to them.
"I think I can see the bottom ahead!" Sylas whispered back toward the group giving them some glimmer of hope. Everyone began looking down the staircase to see what he was talking about and sure enough farther down in the tunnel of stairs there was a white light barely visible poking out from an opening.
