Everyone was in shock as they watched Drake and Jessica. Drake hugged her tighter as he caressed her hair, while she sobbed on his shoulders. A smile appeared on Olivia's face as tears of joy began to flow. She knew Drake would make Jessica come out of that room, since she could feel how much her daughter loves him.
Alonso watched the two hug each other and he felt some sting in his heart. They looked adorable together and who might have thought they've only known each other for a few months. When he saw how his daughter looked right now, he felt ashamed of himself.
Olivia walked towards him and Jeffrey then pulled them from there to give the two some space. Drake smiled at her as he led Jessica back to her room. Olivia went down to the kitchen and asked for something to be prepared for her daughter and was surprised that Dinner was ready. She quickly ordered for the maids to send as much to her daughter's room.
Drake held Jessica in his arms when the door opened revealing maids coming in with various kinds of food setting them on the table. After that, they left and Drake led Jessica towards the table and sat her down.
"Try eating something okay.". He took a plate and began filling different foods on it. When he felt the food was enough for her, he got up to sit by her and began to feed her.
"Open up ahhh....Uhm". Jessica giggled at his behaviour and felt he looked adorable when he did that. So she just made him feed her till she and the baby were satisfied. When they were done he carried her towards the bed then lay her down.
"Get some rest for me ".
"Can you please stay with me?". she pleaded.
"Of course". he said as he caressed her cheeks with his finger "but give me a minute, I will be back okay". he said then gave her a kiss on her forehead. She nodded and he left.
Olivia and Jeffrey were still discussing what had just happened. They were still utterly surprised by Jessica's action and couldn't deny that she was in love with Drake. They had just seen it with their own eyes, what more proof did they need.
Alonso came back with an irritated look then Olivia knew it was about business.
"What has happened now?". she asked.
"I just got another complaint from my board of directors about Raphael. He is destroying my company just this few time I gave him to manage it".
"Calm down Alonso, you know he is still young to manage a company as big as yours on his own.".
Drake came just in time and stood at the entrance waiting to be invited. Olivia waved him to come in and he strode to her side and then hugged her. He gave butler Jeffrey a nod then turned to Alonso. Before he could speak, Alonso spoke up and asked
"How do you manage your company on your own at this young age? Haven't you ever been affected by rumours shared about you or the criticisms".
"No". Drake simply said "If I tried to answer all the criticisms of me and all the attacks levelled at me, my company would be closed to all other businesses. My job is not pleasing other business men because I seem to be higher than them which makes them share negative rumours about me, but I am doing the best I can because that's business. If in the end I am found to be wrong, ten legions of angels swearing I was right will not help me. but the end proves me to have been right, so all that was said about me has amounted to nothing." he explained.
Alonso was impressed, therefore a smile appeared on his face. "I now see how you made it this far " For a while, he began to think that what he was planning on doing to Drake was wrong and was happy he didn't do it.
"I am deeply sorry for what I did. I know you think I betrayed you and went in for you daughter but I want you to know I didn't do anything without her will. I never forced myself on her let alone rape her. She was your daughter and for all I know she lived with you, so I thought you might have known about us going out on dates. I would have planned to tell you I wanted our relationship to move further, but I wasn't hearing anything from her anymore. Please accept my apologies and let me get close to your daughter and my child, for I don't want to stay away from them, not today, not ever". Drake pleaded.
Alonso was silent for a while thinking of what he should say. The room was eerie quiet as they waited for his response. Drake became nervous as seconds passed without not getting a reply. Finally Alonso spoke up and said.
"You can come and visit whenever you want," Alonso said with a smile. Drake gave a sigh of relief and stretched his hand for a handshake. Alonso took it as the two men stood and looked at each other before Drake excused himself to go back to Jessica's room happily.
Drake back hugged her as he couldn't control the happiness he was feeling right now. He finally had the chance to be with the woman he loves, and he won't let that chance go to waste. She was asleep but felt how happy he was and smiled. She smelled so good, like spices as usual. He has almost forgotten how sinfully beautiful she was too. He kept thinking of other beautiful features of her body before he also fell asleep, to dream about her and their baby.
