Seeing the rock shrapnel fall into the lava lake caused a chill to run down Otto's spine.
"Can I attack it?" He walked near the lake with another rock by the side.
Imbuing his boots with mana he transferred mana to the rock while launching it with a kick.

A yellow seed was spat by the crimson lotus flower colliding with the rock producing black smoke.

The rock came out unscathed from the black smoke after the collision and ruthlessly rammed itself on the lotus flower.

And continued to throw pebbles at the lotus flowers and turning them to ashes to make a stone path to the other side of the lava pool.

Using two pebbles imbued with chaos mana to take down a level 10 lotus, Otto notices they become more powerful the further he went.
Gazing to the other side the distance seemed further away confusing him even more 'Is there a current?"
Surveying closely there seemed the appearance of waves pushing him back.
Increasing his pace of throwing the pebbles the lotuses also began to counter with new attacks.
The first was a level 12 lotus that combusted into flames and sent a jet stream of lava straight to Otto's chest.
Twirling his claymore it shielded him from the frontal attack and he threw a chaos imbued pebble.

The further he went in, he met a swarm of the lotuses forming a large linked chain.

Yellow seeds got scattered like star dust in the air and rained down like a hail storm bombarding Otto with explosive power.
Using the lava, Otto dipped and swung up his sword, creating a lava shield temporarily avoiding a fatal wound from the rain of exploding seeds.
He then attacked all the remaining lotuses with his chops and pebbles.
The lotuses still connected as chains combusted themselves into flames and attacked Otto with their roots thrashing savagely at Otto who calmly dodged and parried the flaming roots away.
After the constant clashing, Otto attacked the linking weak points and severed the lotuses apart, shredding them to pieces and crossed the lava pool.
A yellow core with reddish hue awaited him at the pool bank.
Picking it up he smiled and synced it to his grimoire.

Stacking up energy in the form of flames sounded alright but, having vitality and his meditation skill, he did not need to add it. Plus having a possibility of his body exploding did not sit well with him.
So the Solar lotus combustion was the beast choice for his core skill and also with it he could now wield flames without the need of enchanted weapons.
