Chereads / Pokemon Reincarnation System / Chapter 67 - Q & A

Chapter 67 - Q & A

Fry Knight is here and is ready to begin a Q&A session. Note this can be skipped, but I still recommend you pay attention to a few questions.

Alright, let's start with some simple questions.

Q: What is the MC's original name?

A: Mike Marshall.

Q: How old was he when he died?

A: 46 years old.

Q: How did he die?

A: Avoiding a missile by jumping into the river in which he drowned.

Now let's begin.

Q: Where's the plot?

A: Plot? return to route 1. At least that's the current plot.

Q: When will he be able to become a pseudo legendary?

A: Volume 4 & 5.

Q: When will he become a legendary/mythical?

A: Volume 7 & 8.

Q: Do we get a say on what pokemon He becomes?

A: You can try for volumes 3 and 5. 3 the region is decided but not the Pokemon, and I got nothing for volume 5.

Q: How does using a move that's not your type work?

A: Here's a summarized version of everything.

Most Pokemons: Food => Energy => Specific Type Energy => Move.

Conversion to the Pokemon's type wastes no energy.

The definition of food is different for different Pokemons, for example, Ghost types absorb ghost and negative energy and some eat souls, though they can still eat food.

Q: Is a Pokemon truly immune to type? Like Flying immune to Ground?

A: No, ground type moves are neutral effective to flying types. Ground types are highly resistant to Electric and would normally only take damage from it when they're wet. Psychic moves that work directly on a dark type fails but moves like Psybeam and Psycho Cut works just fine. There's no true immunity and there'll always be a way to harm a Pokemon with the type it is said to be immune to.

Q: The system does have information that it can provide but has shown occasions of refusal to share it. What kind of lousy system is that?

A: The System is a tool better off not being relied on, if it's not created by oneself. The System is trying to make sure the MC doesn't over-rely on it in case a Pokemon can block their connection.

Q: How long until Red's generation is born?

A: Volume 4.

Q: How long until Ash's generation is born?

A: Volume 7 and ends at 8... I think. Don't like how long that sounds though. Then again Volume 3 wouldn't be too long *cough* spoiler.

Volume 1 Questions.

Q: Rest is a psychic type move. How did he learn it when he only knew normal type moves at that time?

A: Mike at that time had just finished his intensively long training session and unawaringly uses psychic energy to use Rest. His body had gotten aware of the psychic energy when he had seen Risa training her psychic type moves.

FryKnight: Forgetting Rest was a psychic type move is so far my saddest mistake... I blame Snorlax.

Q: What Pokemon is Big Papa Daniel?

A: Won't say, but he's a Mythical that specializes in Souls. Note: This hint is anything but useful.

Q: How was Feara able to become stronger after being reborn as Froslass?

A: Firstly, she was able to keep around 80% of her strength by reusing her body. Secondly, Marshadow redirected all the negative and ghost energy form from the war for Feara's soul to absorb. Lastly, a certain individual passed on flowers that weren't any different from a Silver Grade resource.

Q: Is Fearly dead? If not where's she?

A: She's alive, I'll say she'll be seen soon enough.

Q: What Foreign substance was attached to Mike's soul?

A: Soul Imprint: tracks a soul and strengthens an existing bond with a Pokemon he/she's already attached to.

Volume 2 Questions.

Q: Why didn't you let him be Bidoof?

A: Although I do regret it a bit, I felt that he should be sent into Johto, and based on the timeline, Bidoof won't be around at that time.

Q: How long will this volume be?

A: Should be the longest, this life will be the pivot that leads him to the top.

Q: Will he encounter trainers during his stay on that island?

A: Of course, he'll encounter them, but their appearance won't be often.

Q: Why the hell are you giving Mareep plot armor?

A: Two reasons, firstly I wanted to and secondly to show that Ancient Bloodlines, Variants, Shinys, and Pokemons with unique abilities will slowly become more and more common. Eventually becoming a world different from the games, animes, and mangas.

Q: Fluffs?

A: Good name right?

Q: Would he encounter Lapis(Feara)?

A: With Instinct do you think he'll enter?

Q: How did a Shuppet appear here?

A: Lapis being an ice and ghost type Guardian, her body naturally releases beneficial energy into the environment. Mostly Ice and ghost, but that doesn't mean other forms of resources won't appear. Anyways, the reason a Shuppet was born was that either a soul passed by the forest that was rich in Ice and Ghost energy, and used the ghost energy to reborn, or a pokemon died here and followed the same steps.

In short ghost types can be born found in this forest and on the mountain(Frozen Volcano).

Q: Who's the fourth member of their Rescue Team?

A: Excluding a healer that Team Rocket would obviously not send here and keep for themselves. What they lack is a range attacker as most other roles can properly be filled in by Beri.

Q: Harem this volume?

A: Nah, Yaoi... JK. As for Harem, does two count? If not I can guarantee there'll be one in volume 3, but there he'll be catching them all, at least those that are breedable.

Q: Medusa in the harem?

A: Easier said than done if we're going by human logic, luckily we aren't though. It's much easier to get a mate or three as Pokemon, unless they were influenced by humans.

Q: Just reconfirming, Fluffs isn't in the harem right?

A: What? do you all not want to see a man pumping into another man *ss? No? Good news, I'm not gay, bad news this ain't R-18.

Q: What wars are going on at the moment.

A: Most wars have already ended, Kanto and Johto are the odd ones delaying the era of Trainers.

Q: How long will the war last.

A: Volume 3, though at that time there would only be a mention of it.

Q: When will you just drop this sh*t.

A: The day I bang your mother.

Q: Is there any benefits for physical training except experience?

A: Yes, this is where EVs and IVs sh*t come into play. EV aka Effort Value is gained through physical training, while IV aka Individual Value are decided based on a Pokemon talent. One will have perfect IVs once they're a purple-graded talent.

Q: In the auxiliary chapters talents that are named after colors are said to be all in Bronze grade talent. How much faster are Silver and Gold talents in leveling up.

A: They gather energy automatically from the environment to improve themselves, thereby leveling up without the need to battle. For them fighting is one method, but finding an environment perfect for them is much better. Like a ghost type in a graveyard.

Q: You said racial abilities are abilities you gave based on the Pokedex. So what are you going to do about the more ridiculous ones, like Magcargo?

A: The Pokedex is an encyclopedia filled by Oak and Pokedex holders, ranging from age 10-18 when starting their journey. Assuming everything they recorded was true, then I will use Special and Innate Abilities as my explanation. I will use Machamp as an example.

Machamp(Entry, FireRed): It's four ruggedly developed arms can launch a flurry of 1,000 punches in just two seconds.

Meaning 500 punches per second second, meaning 125 punches per arm per second. Let's assume Close Combat can throw about 100 punches a second when used by Machamp. Machamp's racial ability Combo Attack would boost that to 200. Assuming Machamp was born with the Special Ability Speed Boost Attack, a Speed Boost that affects mostly the arms. Machamp Attack Speed would boost to 500 punches a second, making the 1000 punches in 2 seconds.

So Pokedex entries that display a ridiculous feat that's not from a legendary/mythical is often a Pokemon with a special or innate ability. Note the feat might also have been done by a high-level Pokemon, like the Machamp that can push a mountain with one arm. This Machamp has no special abilities.

Q: What about Magcargo?

A: That entry was first stated in entry Sapphire, meaning Hoenn. In short, a scientist has spotted a Magcargo on a distant planet that has this feature. I'm not going to explain what abilities it had carried.

Q: Are special chapters cannon?

A: No. Initially, there were just supposed to be filler. Now it's used as a way to leak the plot as well as enjoy a different timeline. Ralts D Leona timeline that is.

Q: Can you stop adding those shorts at end of chapters?

A: The non-cannon ones sure, but those that provides a glimpse into the past or changes POV won't stop occurring.

Q: When are bonus chapter released?

A: Whenever I feel like it. Though once I'm completed the volume the release speed would increase.

All right that should be it. Professor Bradford's journey would be paused for now and I'll go onto a different but important special chapter.

Special Chapter 6 Mike Marshall, Youth

Since he won't reminisce on the past I can only do it this way.

Special Chapter 7 Mike Marshall, Brotherhood

Special Chapter 8 Mike Marshall, Completing The Impossible.

Damn this Q & A was longer than I expected. Hope to never do this again.
