Chapter 46 - Pet's Day, The Emo and his Master

The day has finally arrived. The day beat I a certain emo Mareep to death.

It was a day like any other, the warmth of sunlight spreading across my body. The fresh smell of the forest air, and the...

*smack*

The smack of a snake's tail... lovely.

"Upsss,"

"Can you talk like a normal Pokemon?" I asked, calling up Tailwind as I take off.

*smack*

Or so I should have if not for being smacked down.

"Eatsss," Medusa crawled away. Getting myself back into the air, I followed.

Being able to fly is so much better than walking, like seriously have you seen my legs. If I'm supposed to run a race I would come dead last even if my opponents are Slugma and Slakoth. Once I set off using Tailwind, I can practice staying in the air by manipulating my body with flying energy to bounce back up. Meaning I'm also learning Bounce, I think.

...

After eating we arrived at our destination for Pet's Day, using Senken I confirmed there are 26 Ekans including Medusa, all of which had a pet.

"Where did the rest of the pets go?" I asked Medusa.

"Losersss? Mostsss eaten," Medusa replied.

"How am I still alive then?" Although I didn't get to enter 2 tournaments because I wasn't mature yet, I did enter 2 others both of which I lost.

"You're my petsss,"

"Thanks then," My body bounced onto the ground before going back up into the air. Status please.

(AN: Move set proficiency is written in descended order, meaning Cotton Guard is the closest to promoting to Intermediate)

How the hell did Splash hit Intermediate?

[Answer: Because Host has been using it]

Don't give me that crap! I have been trying to use Bounce, I have been manipulating Flying energy. Flying Energy! Where are you seeing normal energy in that?

[Answer: The host has been using flying energy to rest onto the floor and reenter the air smoothly. Splash was used instinctively for the bounce motion]

[Lastly, it's recommended that the host doesn't release his stress onto the System. Please don't forget that the S.Y.S.T.E.M is sentient]

Sorry about that, a little bit pent-up. No pressure though, I'll release it out on my opponent.

[Apology acknowledged]

"Ah, isn't it 'little' sister," Looking down from, I saw an Ekans unconsciously glaring at Medusa as he spoke in a polite tone.

How badly must you hate someone to be glaring at them without even realizing it? This is something new to me.

"Oh? It'sss brother and hisss Growlithe," Growlithe? All I see is the emo Mareep, or is she implying the emo's a dog.

Emo Mareep's eyes were locked to mine, ignoring Medusa who had just mocked him and was glaring at me instead.

"Like what you see?" I asked angrily.

"Weak,"

"I will show you weak, you motherf*cker!"

Meanwhile, the chat between siblings wasn't going anywhere as bright as mine.

"Go back to daycare with your weak, Hoppip,"

"Weak he mightsss be, butsss stronger than yousss,"

"Waste of resources sister, do you think I won't beat the sh*t out of you here?"

"Trysss,"

"Enough!"

My body shivered uncontrollably, making it difficult for me to fly. Rotating to my left, I spotted an Arbok slithering towards us and I use Senken. Level 40 huh, this should be the only level 40 Arbok in this family, meaning the leader.

"Since, you 2 are in such a hurry I'll begin the games early," Saying that, Arbok roared to get everyone's attention. With all eyes staring at him, his eyes scanned everyone before muttering, "There's 26 Pets, hmm. Did I eat too much yesterday,"

Like I thought, there should've been at least 28 pets to have a proper tournament setting. What'll he decide then, kill 2 to fix the problem or...

"2 Pets will directly enter from the quarter-finals. The two pets are, My son and his Mareep, and the Ekans with the highest level Mankey. Further explanation on their placing in the brackets will occur during the quarter-finals,"

"Just like before, only first place is rewarded. The reward is an Intermediate Grade, type resource of that Pokemon's type and for its master, 3 Intermediate Grade, Toxic Jewels.

At least I confirmed that this Arbok was or is still tamed, preferably was. After a series of not-so-complicated events, the tournament was placed like this.

First Bracket: Wooper vs Caterpie

Second Bracket: Weedle vs Mareep(a different one)

Third Bracket: Pidgey vs Spearow

Fourth Bracket: Hoppip vs Mankey(a different one)

Fifth Bracket: Hoothoot vs Nidoran

And that's all I paid attention to. What? Do you expect me to remember more than half the Pokemons I'll eventually forget? some of which I won't even battle. That's not worth my time.

*smack*

"Disappointmentsss become snacks,"

I love your enthusiasm.

The Bracket wasn't randomized or anything, I just put it down. Reasons being I curious how writing without preparations will turn out. Personally don't think he'll reach the semi-finals.

Note that all of these Pokemons have lived for over a year, excluding the Mc. Meaning they will have a few moves in the Advance stage and considering their level... that's not much they can really learn.
