Ying Yue woke up refreshed the next morning but slightly weak for some reason, but Lui Feng as if on cue walked in with breakfast. He timed it so perfectly she thought he just stood at the door waiting for her to wake up.
Breakfast was quiet and simple in the comfort of his bed, he just sat and watched her quietly until she was done eating. She felt something was off but decided to ignore it and focus on her meal. Only when he sent the maids out with the empty dishes and gave her a serious look did she know something was off?
"Ying..." He said softly with that voice that made her always want to bend to his will. "Stay here today, for a while. You fainted so suddenly yesterday, you need to rest", he said and she frowned at him, she had work to do. She wasn't going to listen not this time, she couldn't believe the breakfast was a bribe!
"I can't I have work to do, besides I am perfectly fine", she replied but her voice faltered at the end exposing her, she had woken up physically weak but that wasn't going to stop her though. Her eyes glimmered with mischief and he sighed inwardly, this was going to be hard.
"Please just stay still and rest, even if it's just for one day", he pleaded but that glimmer was still there and he was one hundred percent sure she had planned out her entire escape. He looked at her, the shadow of his cold self was nowhere to be found he just seemed like a worried partner.
"Okay, I won't", she replied with a pout and he knew he lost the battle, I guess he had to take other measures and tighten the security. She was in no state to go outside, he could feel energy seeping out of her more so with his heightened senses. Also, she needed to gather strength if she was going to know the truth and become his Luna.
He just nodded and kissed her forehead while she kept pouting till he left the room. He took one last look at her before leaving the room and ordered Aiguo to make sure she didn't leave. Men were already stationed at the door and maids were at her beck and call. She wouldn't be able to leave even if she tried to.
She walked into the bathroom to get freshened up and changed, she was still wearing her clothes from the previous day and her hair was messy. She walked out of the shower and brushed her teeth while staring at her reflection, she began to cook up an escape plan in her mind. Annoying him just sounded too fun to pass up, she got change and sat on the bed lost in thought.
Ying Yue just stared at the locked door silently, she thought of listening to him and staying but every fiber in her body wanted to go outside and have fun. She wasn't even sick... That sick! She would just go out for a while, it wouldn't be bad to get fresh air, as long as it wasn't stressful or work right?
Besides she had asked about Lui Feng and was informed of the fact that he was busy reminding her he also had his own life to live so why was he stopping her? A guard had come to check up on her about an hour ago, it wouldn't be long before they checked up on her again.
She walked towards the door and opened it slowly peaking outside, there were two guards stationed at each side of the corridor and there were probably more downstairs, getting past them would be suicide and Lui Feng would realize she was trying to escape. He seemed so worried about her, so asking him would never work and he'd just manage to convince her to stay.
She went back in and stared at the window, she would be able to get out from there easily, there was no way Lui Feng knew she could climb down easily. He would never expect such from a member... Former member of the Jiang family. Luckily for her, she wasn't on the highest floor today which would only assist her escape. She chuckled excitedly as she waited for the guards to make their routine checkup on her.
They came in and saw her lying in the bed seemingly tired, they thought she had finally decided to rest but they couldn't have been any more wrong as they walked out with their worries relieved. Seems like she wasn't going to cause any trouble, Ying Yue smirked at their naivety.
She immediately got to work after they left, she was already dressed and had her purse with her, so she decided to leave her phone to avoid being tracked down. It would take the guards about an hour to notice her missing, she tied a couple of bedsheets together and once she was sure the knots were strong enough, she tied it to the window and climbed down. Thank goodness she wasn't heavy and made it down safely.
Although, the evidence of her escape was still there. She tugged hard on the sheets to loosen the knot to the window, she fell trying to pull but she pulled it off with strength she didn't know she had. She folded and hid them near the building in a place she thought was clean enough and it wouldn't be noticed. She skipped away happily as she had successfully carried out her plans.
She decided to go exploring and go to the mall Lui Feng's mother had taken her to, the place was huge and it was the last place Lui Feng would think she'd go to, so close yet so far. Although she walked a great deal before she could find a taxi to take her there she was excited nonetheless.
After a long drive, she walked in and inhaled softly, amidst work and everything she rarely went out. It felt nice to breathe a different air every once in a while, everyone around her walked around elegantly and calmly looking for something and she followed suit mentally chuckling at how silly she felt.
She was already bored and everything was so expensive so she decided to wrap it up for the day when she heard a commotion from a store, it was a bit hushed but she could hear it clearly.
"This is way too expensive", a woman said frustration evident in her voice but the salesperson kept complaining about how she couldn't offer her any price lower than that, Ying Yue walked in curiously the girl seemed familiar. The girl was elegantly dressed but it was still rather simple compared to everyone around her, they seemed to be arguing over a bracelet of some kind.
She walked closer and when she saw the price tag she almost fainted, saying it was outrageous was an understatement.
"You're a member of the Qi family, buying something like this is child's play", she said to the lady who was about to lose it, it was obvious the price was inflated probably because of her standing. Ying Yue decided to help the woman.
"We offer the best prices", Ying Yue read on the sign above the woman's head calmly. "I would like to buy the bracelet instead how much is it?" She asked and the woman beside her quietly watched.
"It go- goes for 70,000 Yuan ma'am (about 10,000USD), It's a real diamond with golden rims and is crafted by the best in the business", she stated proudly but Ying Yue took one look at it and scoffed it was a moissanite and she was able to tell that thanks to Mei Zhen.
"It's moissanite", she stated and the salesperson paled at her words while the woman beside her stared in shock.
