He stood before her, roses in hand. He had the face of a terror, she had one of an angel. Everyone stood close, hand on mouths they'd gasp.
"Will you be my prom date?" He'd bow down to one knee, holding out a bouche of cherry blossoms.
She'd look around everyone's eyes tracked her. "I'm sorry, no I can't." She turned around leaving with everyone else.
The blossoms fell out of his hand as he stood up he didn't bother reaping them up. "So be it then."
He stumbled out of the academy with everyone chortling at him. 'Ahaha, amusing. I got rejected.'
Ditched the academy for the rest of the day, as he was disgraced at the rejection. No one knows the real reason that she refused him, he was frightening, tall, with dark ebony hair, narrow crimson red eyes. She worships men who look menacing but... not him.
He strode down the sidewalk that lead to his house. "What a fool," He'd mutter."I'd be better off dead."
His mom greeted him by opening up the window of their house, "Shinzo I making curry. Hurry inside. Kay?" She'd yell, instantly shutting the window.
'Maybe, just maybe it'll get better.' He told himself.
He stepped through the door and took off his shoes placing them on the shoe rack. He took in a huge breath through his nose letting it out slowly, 'That smells great.' he thought to himself.
"Welcome home, take a seat." He did as told, sitting down at the dinner table. "Your principal called. You left the academy early?"
"Yeah, she rejected me."
"Not surprised, you look exactly like your father... Dangerous." She walked over to the table placing the dish of curry in front of him."Eat, food make you happy again."
When she passed him chopsticks he was hesitant at first. "Mom, can I ask you something?"
"Depends."
"Well, what was dad like?"
"Considerate, enchanting, gallant, and trustworthy. Opposite of you."
"Eh, insulting me after getting rejected. So admirable."
"Kidding," She'd look down at her bowl. "I wish you could've met him. He would've been happy to see you."
"Well, if it happens when I die, we'll meet up."
"Yes, yes undoubtedly, he'll be satisfied."
They finished eating, them both stuffed. His mom washed the dishes, he headed upstairs to do homework.
He sat down in his chair, there was a cold breeze leaking into his room. He looked around and found his window open, that's not how he left it this morning when he went to school.
Ultimately he brushed it off trying not to alarm himself by blaming it on his mom coming into his room. He was still weirded out, his mother wasn't the type to leave something open and not close it after.
He tiptoed downstairs and watched his mom, after 10 minutes he spoke up asking her, "Hey," She let out a yelp, "Oh sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I meant to ask did you come into my bedroom when I was gone, did you open my window?"
She looked at him with confusion written over her face, "No, not without reasoning I would not go into your bedroom. Did you open window before heading to the academy?"
He could tell she was telling the truth, his mom had a habit of playing with her hair if she was lying. " It was closed, before leaving the house I checked to make sure."
"Unless I opened it then forgot, I have no clue why it'd be open." There was a moment of silence between them before she thought of something, "Before you leave tomorrow use your phone take a picture then leave."
"Okay, I'll do that." He replied before heading back upstairs. He opened his bedroom door slowly... very slowly. He noticed something his room was no longer chilled, the window was closed.
He was spooked, someone closed it while he was gone. They were in his room while he was there, something was sticking out from under his notebook. It was a piece of paper, a note.
It was not there when he came in the first time, it just appeared. He crept over examining around the bedroom in the process.
There were no obvious signs that someone had been in his bedroom besides the note and the window closing then shutting.
He lifted the notebook then picked up the note; Shinzo Tobio, we've invited you to play a game. A fun game, you see the dice laying on your nightstand. Take that and roll it, if your lucky you'll land a 6 and get six points to spend. Good luck.
'What the hell.' He thought,' First they break into my bedroom now this.'
Out of curiosity he grabbed the dice from his nightstand and rolled them, he rolled a 3. A message appears on his phone; Hello new player! OwO I'm glad you decided to play this game. I'll give you an extra 3 points out of pity, you now have 6! Thanks to me. I'll let you spend them, agility, strength, looks, stamina, intelligence, speed. What ones would you like to use them on?
"How do I use this, do I type a message or what."
Another message appeared; No just talk into the phone I'll be able to hear you lol.
"Ehm okay then, spend them on intelligence and strength 3 on each." He peeked down at his phone it was weirdly and sufficiently starting to flicker hues of, black, red, white, green, purple.
Soon enough a screen showed up that displayed the traits that the message announced. Everything was at 0 besides intelligence and strength. At the bottom was a line of words; Enjoy your new life. It begins here.
Creeped out he turned off his phone placing it down on his desk, 'Screw this shit, I'll just do my homework and forget about it.'
About an hour later his phone beeps, an unread message appears. 'What the hell I powered it off.'
He picks up his phone unlocking it in the process, it says; It's not nice to ignore people who give you a new life.
"It's not by choice I have homework."
; Well I guess that's a valid reason -_- If you want to get more powerful I'll give you missions. With those missions, you'll be able to get dice depending on how hard it is you'll get more or less dice.
"What are the missions like."
; Hugh Hugh since you're asking, one might be like go to your school late at night, tell someone you love them, ask someone out, flash your crush. You know stuff like that but they will get harder and harder the stronger you get.
"Flashing... are you kidding me."
; Nope, I'm serious lol.
"Whatever, give me a mission now then."
; MmMmMm can't do.
"Why?"
; I'll assign them to you when I want, also I have to think of them you know.
"Whatever, leave me alone I have to get this done.
; Kay kay, I'll talk to you in the morning. I might have a mission for you lmao. You'll never know though till you get it.
His phone turns off again as if it was never on in the first place. By the next morning, he completely forgot about the incident, not until he got a message.
; Hey, hey, hey goodmorning~ I have a mission for you.
