Chapter 29 - Alexander Miller: Affection Across Time

With his lips pressed on her lifeless body, Alexander lost the strength to even move his feet. He leans back slowly and looks down to his wife's peacefully face, as if she was just sleeping on his arms.

The people around had saw the tragic scene and had also tried to call an ambulance frantically.

Alexander didn't care of their reactions, he was just feeling....lost.

As if his heart just turned cold seeing her.

The ambulance came minutes later and tried to resuscitate her body but they pronounce her dead, unable to revive her.

Alexander wanted to scream, he wanted to grab the nearest object and slam it to the people around but he knew, somewhere deep down, that even if they came early, Molina would still leave him.

He realized too late of the secrets Molina must be keeping, he wished he had asked more, he regrets not knowing her too well and was angry at the fact that she left before him.

If he could, he would take her place.

Keep her warm and safe.

Keep her alive and well.

But she left him and left his soul and heart in a mess.

Her death was the most shocking news to the people that knew Molina, as the Genius Young CEO behind Dimensions success, she was already a prominent person. The small circle of acquaintance she has, didn't think Alexander would return to B Country with his dead wife's casket.

It was devastating, it shocked them to their core.

They knew the married couple left the country to travel and celebrate Alexander's 38th birthday, all they expected when they return is the same couple who would throw sugar in their faces with how openly in love they were.

They didn't expect to see Molina laying down in a beautiful white dress, unmoving and dead.

They held her wake and Alexander stayed beside her coffin, holding his own wedding ring as if it was keeping him from losing his mind.

He also held the adoption papers that he had canceled, it was his gift to her. He knew she wanted to have kids, she was always looking at cute children on the street when she finds one.

Alexander wanted to tell her, he found a pair of twins that slightly remind him of her. He had imagine her holding them lovingly, he knew she would loved them if they meet.

But before he could tell her this good news, she was gone and he couldn't even think of anything else.

Everyone knew how much he loves his wife sincerely and passionately.

They feared the great Miller would soon follow her after she was buried, in the most peaceful and beautiful private land that Alexander owned, he might do something reckless.

When she was finally laid to rest, Alexander then look solemn, with a dark suit for grieving. He look as if he lost the ability to cry and was left to stare blankly at the grave stone erected with her name carved in it.

His secretary feared for his boss's silence, not knowing what was running through his head.

So James and Molina's secretaries, Jessie and Helen, stayed by his side, yet a few feet away to give him privacy when the people had left.

They thought Alexander would go into madness but the next day, he had gone to work and continued his life.

He would visit her grave and kept his wedding band, attracting attention from his close friends and subordinates.

They didn't have the heart to talk about his situation and let him be.

Alexander visited her grave during her birthdays, with the number of rose the same number of her age, if his wife was still alive.

He wasn't alone when he visit, his secretary, Molina's previously secretaries, and a few familiar faces would accompany him. A lingering fear would itch on the back of their minds whenever he would visit her grave.

One day, he spoke to one of Molina's previous secretary that continued to work in her company.

" I promise her to give her roses on her every birthdays " Jessie was about to leave him for privacy after she place a rose in her old boss's grave.

She heard him spoke calmly, Alexander was already in his fifties and most of them had already moved on from her death.

They all continue to move and lived their lives, but to Alexander, it was as if time never flowed and he was still stuck to that one spring day.

He was growing old and alone, he never missed any of her birthday and never fancy any other women that tried their chances with him.

His loyalty never waiver. As he thought no one can replace such lovely person, in his life.

During their vows, he had promise her, to love her for eternity and to their next lives. Offering his heart and soul to her without any hesitation.

The secretary couldn't speak, she doesn't know what to say to the man who lost his light the moment his other half left this world.

So she lower her head and continued her way.

Alexander was left alone with his wife, he looked at his watched and it was almost 7 pm. The day was getting darker as night approaches.

He look at the grave once again, there was a feeling in his chest that he had long felt.

It was confusing and he couldn't pinpoint it. Like he had missed something and that it wasn't gone, it was somewhere far away.

" every day I played that scene in my head, you left me so suddenly, I couldn't even get mad at you " he says to no one yet hopes she would hear him.

Every time he was here, he would imagine she was just somewhere hiding and listening.

" I miss you every day.. "

Alexander was left alone by Jessie, she didn't tell him. He wouldn't mind, as he always wanted to be alone.

Alexander suddenly felt it again, his head was slightly hurting but he tried to ignore the uncomfortable feeling.

A glitch appeared on his fingers and Alexander noticed the static occurring in his hands.

He's brows furrowed and a stinging pain appeared in his head, Alexander grunts in pain and touched his head.

" sh*t "

Cold sweat visible in his forehead, he breathes unevenly for a whole minute and his entire existence started to glitch.

No one was around to see him in pain for a whole two minutes and suddenly calming down the next, his breathing returns back to normal as he wipes his cold sweat off his face.

Alexander's aura changed and his whole mood became different, he was no longer in his golden age rather, he returned to look like in his thirties as he suddenly returns back to his prime when he met Molina, he cranes his neck and he sighs loudly feeling refresh. His outfit had also changed and looked slightly different.

He looked around, scanning the environment with his cold gaze. His eyes were dark as the abyss, this Alexander had a dangerous aura around him, the moonlight shone on his cold figure as he moved his hands and runs his hair through his dark hair.

" Modified System check host 9.2.1.0's vitals and situation " his voice was the same heavy and mature voice that Alexander had but there was a slight change in his tone.

The modified system showed him the codes had been program into the original world order system and then strings of data had been prepared for his next world.

" She's safely arrived there huh " Alexander rolls his shoulder, adjusting his suit and stiff composure.

He then slowly kneels one knee down and touched the carved name of his loved one. Rather than a solemn face, a smile appears in his lips and his eyes returned to a loving gaze.

Sincerely gazing, as if his favorite person was in front of him.

His hands then takes out his necklace, a different band of ring hanging on it.

Alexander takes the ring and kisses the metal, smiling at the thought of her.

" Wait for me in the other side, my Eve "

You're not alone in this fight.
