A statement was released,
"This is not true, we are simply being framed so that our reputation is ruined."
A crowd of people was gathered, shouting loudly.
"We need justice" was what they shouted.
Everyone had banners in their hands. They were standing outside a college, protesting.
A girl was forced by three men: one was a pickup driver, the others being a guard and a teacher. She was just a first-year student, so she wasn't even seventeen yet, only sixteen.
Teachers tried to negotiate with the students.
"Listen, leave the front of the college and stop this or we will expel you all from the college's student list." From among the teachers, one said this.
"No, sir, we want those three to be punished severely. Forget about this, the college is even trying to hide this incident." A student from among the leading students said this.
"I am warning you to leave quietly. We will punish them properly."
"No, you are trying to hide this incident. You are concerned about yourself and this college's name."
The students were unwilling to give up.
"We want justice!"
"We want justice!"
The shouts rose again.
"Hey! Listen…"
"No, we want justice!"
The students were unwilling to give up.
"You idiot!" A teacher, furious, slapped the student who was leading the protest.
"Guards beat these idiots!"
He shouted, and the guards began using batons, kicks, and fists.
Seeing the students' intensity and passion, a teacher became furious and started beating the students himself. Once this happened, the other teachers followed suit and joined in.
The protest involved both boys and girls, but the teachers showed no restraint, brutally beating them all.
The guards even used glass on a boy.
Students were the only ones protesting. However, soon, the police came and warned the students.
"Students who wish to continue studying may enter the college, while those who don't can leave."
"We need justice, we won't leave or end this protest!" The students shouted.
"We are warning you, leave. Or else we will need to use force." Was the reply.
"We need justice!"
When the commanding officer saw this, he frowned.
"Charge!" Was his answer to their plea.
This order released many.
They had batons to which the students were introduced.
"Leave now, or I warn you! This could happen to another person in this crowd!" the leading officer spoke into the microphone.
Meanwhile, news started to disseminate that the girl had died in the ICU.
But, the girl's father announced that she only had a fracture and was alive.
No media was showing any news related to this. This event only spread on social media and became popular there. Many people started to cover this incident online.
The political advisor of the Chief Minister released news that the offender had been caught and was going to be punished after being investigated.
But a rumor started to spread when a person posted this,
"A guard is being blamed in order to hide the real culprit. That culprit is a higher-up."
The students were demanding to see the culprit as well as the college to ask for forgiveness.
The CCTV footage was deleted as well.
Some even blamed the son of the owner of the college.
The protests were being held outside every branch of the college.
The students insisted that their demands be satisfied by midnight; otherwise, the whole city, or even the continent, would be brought to a standstill.
In their desperation for justice, the students broke into the college's branches, causing damage in an attempt to intimidate the owner and the government. The principal of the college fled through the back gate as the students broke in.
A student even died, covered in blood, and many were also injured.
As they were just college students and were only around seventeen or so, they couldn't continue throughout the entire night and returned to their homes. They hoped to continue this protest the next day.
However, the rangers had been called as well as the police. They were fully prepared to stop the students. It seemed like there was no hope of getting any justice as even the government and the courts seemed to be against the students.
The reason was that the college owner was a friend of someone with sufficient power to impact the government.
Yang Zhai suddenly woke up. He stood up and walked close to the window and looked outside.
He saw darkness everywhere, but street lanterns were placed at intervals in the distance.
At night, this part of the Eroh Domain was empty of people. There were no shops here, making it quite peaceful outside the window.
He had moved to a different inn, a change he made occasionally.
The sky was overcast with clouds,
Hiding the stars and the moon.
It was quite bleak tonight.
"Sigh, now that I am awake, let's cultivate a little." He began to cultivate again. One star was about to be formed because of the Seraphic Aura Ka. It was already close to a foot in size. So, it meant that it was about to be completed soon.
Yang Zhai stopped cultivating after a little while and started to experiment with the Aurora.
…..
Yang Zhai just won a battle and was resting. His Shadow Leopard was being healed by the cultivators provided by Yue Qing.
The reason was that he had another fight today.
The outcome of the current round would decide his opponent, so he paid close attention. He never took any opponent lightly.
Kyl Qhim was smiling confidently as if announcing his victory.
Jagzee dodged the claw and tightened its hand into a fist. It placed its left hand on the ground and turned around using the momentum it had built from running.
It punched the Rank 5 Lightening Chimpanzee to the ground.
After that, Jagzee grabbed the Lightening Chimpanzee's neck with its hands. Thereafter, it tore a piece of flesh out of the Lightening Chimpanzee's neck with its teeth.
"As expected of a rare beast." Yang Zhai muttered.
