That evening Oliver was on his toes, anxious about when his boss was going to leave the office for home.
Oldman MayHill had continuously called him to ask whether or not his grandson has left the office. The boss must have blocked the Oldman, Oliver thought.
He couldn't answer the Oldman because he felt that his boss was avoiding going home today.
The clock hit 8 pm when finally the door of president's office opened and Ashton walked out.
When Oliver followed his boss to the car, Ashton told Oliver and the driver to leave for the night.
"Boss, are you not going back to your villa?" Oliver asked Ashton.
"I have a date to go to. You both are dismissed," Ashton's voice was firm and final. And the next thing they saw was the back of the black car speeding away.
The moment the car disappeared from his sight, the phone on Oliver's hand rang and the name 'Big Boss' flashed.
'Damn!' Oliver cursed as he answered the call.
————————At Aston's Villa————————
Oldman MayHill had just got off from the phone with Oliver. That crazy grandson of his!! How could he think of going on a date on the first day of his marriage?
"Are you alright, grandpa?" Alina's soft voice drew the Oldman's attention away from his grandson.
The Oldman looked at the young woman sitting opposite to him.
He had not really seen her for a long time. But now that he had seen her, he knew that she would be the perfect granddaughter-in-law.
She had inherited her mothers's extraordinary beauty and her father's brain- which the Oldman thought was very lucky. Although, he wished she wouldn't put on that colourful glasses.
When he asked if her eyesights were not good, she had replied that she was just wearing them for the sake of not drawing attention towards her.
The Oldman couldn't agree more. He didn't want any other men to roam around his granddaughter-in-law. He wanted his grandson to be around her.
"My child, it looks like Ash is busy with some work at office. So, he will not be coming home. Why don't you rest for tonight. This Oldman will go back to the old mansion.
You are starting the work at the office tomorrow, so it's better for you to have a good rest as well," the Oldman said as he stood up.
His bodyguard was next to him immediately handing him his walking stick.
Alina walked the elder to the door and watched until the Oldman got into his car. The driver slowly drove the car away from the villa and she was left alone standing at the door.
"Mrs MayHill, would you like to have some tea before you retire to the bed", Mrs Thompson, the housekeep asked her.
"I am good, Mrs Thompson. I think I will just take a warm shower and go to bed.
And please just call me Alina….I am not comfortable with these formalities," Alina told Mrs Thompson as she bid her a goodnight and went upstairs where she was taking a guest room.
Oldman MayHill was not happy when Alina said she would not move into the main bedroom yet. But Alina did not want to scare Ashton away.
She smiled when she thought of Ashton.
He might not remember her but for her he was different. She still remember chasing him when she was a kid.
When he stopped attending her grandfather's training, she cried for so many days.
But she always kept track of any news about him. She even started to go to her grandfather's training centre hoping to see him again. But he never showed up.
She almost lost hope of ever getting together with him until her grandfather talked about the marriage proposal.
She was finally married to him.
And, now she was waiting for him to fall in love with her.
