"Human." The spider's raspy and creepy voice rang out very faintly in Elliot's mind. "Beware the shadow parasites… They are coming… They are all coming here…"
"What? What shadow parasites?" Elliot asked the purple spider in confusion. However, the mindspace collapsed completely before it could reply.
The purple spider was finally dead.
"What was that about?" Elliot's mind raced as he instantly concocted many different conspiracies and possible situations that could involve "Shadow parasites" which could cause a dying mutated spider to use his last breath to warn a human being.
"The receding alien power I felt might be the "shadow parasite" it mentioned. Or it might be the alien's method of controlling their beasts. Or both?
