"I'm really sorry, Madam. I tried to stop them but they insisted on giving their resignation letters."
The female on her side following her to the lobby explained as they exited the elevator. She's Adreanne's secretary. Desiree couldn't express how downhearted she was. But no matter what she thought, this company is already crumbling down.
"It's fine, Des. We can't force them after all."
The office cubicles that were once full of employees talking to each other and giggling were now empty. The quiet atmosphere gave them more chills of disheartened. This office was supposed to be filled with people who are very dedicated to their work.
Adreanne averted her eyes and sat on her desk. She immediately saw these resignation letters on her desk that seemed to ask for her attention. She picked one, but couldn't get the strength to read it. Whether she read it or not, nothing will change. Everything is now shattering.
