'Why am I here?' That simple question echoes within the mind of a timid student as he stands surrounded by others. He can't think clearly as the fear encroaches on his mind. His legs were the first to stop responding to his will the moment he saw the bully attack his best friend. His desire to retaliate was suffocated as the bloody face of his friend was displayed to him.
"Alex…" He muttered his name in a desperate attempt to cry for help. But it was too late, he wouldn't respond.
"Well, that was quick." Knocked unconscious and unresponsive, Alex was dropped to the floor without care. The bully turned his unchanging gaze towards his next victim, the boy currently being held down by his aggressors companions.
His body knew of the pain that was soon to come his way, and twitched in an attempt to flee, but more pressure was applied to his arms, stopping him before he could escape.
"Really? You want to try and struggle now? It's a bit late for that!"
