Cyril took notice of the ashes in the wind as he was forced to look up towards Zan. His red eyes looked down on him with a steely gaze, letting him know that Zain had no intention of letting him leave without answering his questions. HIs body ached, and he could hear the dull throbbing of his heart within his chest. Each pump reminded him of the searing pain he felt over his body from Zain's last spell. Cyril struggled to keep himself up with one arm, but his body slumped back over.
"Don't even try it. With injuries like that, you aren't going anywhere." To reinforce his statement, Zain pressed his heel down on Cyril's shoulder, forcing him even further into the ground as a sharp hiss left his mouth. Just as Zain was about to interrogate Cyril, flames began fluttering from over his shoulder, and soon enough, a small flaming bird spawned.
