She blinks her eyes in pain as she sees Ray open curtains that he didn't expect to be that bright as both scream and close their eyes because of the sudden brightness of the sun piercing through their eyes. Ray closes the curtains as quickly as he could while Persephone was still closing her eyes by the obnoxious early morning, she then opens her eyes and sighs in relief as Ray apologizes for giving her an awful morning. She shrugs it off as bad luck and gets out of the bed slowly, Ray helps her as her eyes are still flaming red. She thanks him and finally was able to open her eyes without blinking in just a few seconds, Ray gets up with her and walks out of his room. He closes the door and asked Persephone what she was doing as there was still time she could rest and Persephone told him that she wanted to explore the castle's grounds as she was interested. Ray nodded as he pointed one private bathroom through a hallway and told Persephone to go take a bath as he will prepare clothes for her. She smiles and thanks him. She went off to the bathroom and luckily finds it in the matter of a few minutes, she opens the door and wasn't baffled when even the bathroom looked luxurious as well as the other rooms. She tries to turn on the tab for hot water but realizes that she was reincarnated and wasn't in her world so she guesses she had to do magic for this to work. She creates hot water through her water magic and normally that wouldn't work but due to her glitched abilities, she was able to manifest and break the strings of logic and reality.
She takes off her clothes and sets her first foot on the tub to verify if was actually hot water and when she felt its heat touching her toes, she puts herself on the bath as she relaxes and lays down. She approves its semi-hot water as it was both nor too hot or too cold. Through her journey despite being not being that long, not once did she ever think she would have the luxury of taking an expensive bath. Although relaxing, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being this fortunate which made her a bit displeased as some worked their way to get up of this cruel world while she just sits in a tub and slacks off. She imagines what she was going to do next if nothing was to be done in this Kingdom anymore, she is certain she was definitely going to meet new people, new enemies and allies in her path because this world was huge, filled with millions of people. In her journey, she wishes she would befriend not only allies but enemies as she does not like fighting but deep down, Persephone knew that there was going to be stubborn villains that will outright refuse defeat and despises to be on good terms with an enemy. While in her thought process, she feels more hot than usual and sees that the tub was getting more hotter and she grew uncomfortable with it so she gets up and reverses the water-spell. She covers her exposed body and waits for Ray to bring her clothing but when she opened the door, it wasn't Ray who was bringing her the clothes but probably one of his servants.
"Ma'am, Master Ray wanted me to bring clothing to Miss Persephone. Could you be the Lady Persephone?" He says, Persephone peeks through the door and nods while she took the clothes. She sees the garments and silently thanks Ray for giving her a not-so long dress as the dress was only just above her knees.
She gets out of the bathroom and for a second, the face she saw seemed awfully familiar as the guy also shared the same situation with her. The guy then perks up while Persephone backs away.
"Y-your that girl that saved me from that wicked director!" He said filled with gratefulness.
Then, an immediate realization hits through her head as she know was familiar with the guy. She asks him if he was okay and he nods while thanking her with dramatic praises, she blushes, embarrassed with the compliments she was receiving and shakily told the guy to stop. He finally stops being overly to friendly and thanks her one last time. Her lips tug into a smile as the person she rescued now has a relieved face, opposite from his previous face that was filled with horror.
He then held a hand to her as he explains his Master Ray, wants to see her after she got changed. She takes his hand lightly as he leads her somewhere. After minutes of walking to different hallways and rooms, they finally find Ray who was seen talking to other people that were possibly from another Kingdom as for some reason, they had a different feel to their figure as they stand unaltered despite Ray obnoxiously showing his aura. Ray notices Persephone staring and told her to come here, Persephone walks up to the possible noble and curtsied not wanting to come off as disrespectful from the first introduction. Ray gives a pleased smile as the other also gives an approving look. Persephone sighs in relief thanking her habit of showing respect to everyone despite looks or power.
Persephone then goes off to somewhere as she didn't want to accidentally hear or disturb any serious topics they were going to be discussing privately. She somehow finds the gates of the castle leading to outside and remembers she had to find her subordinates as she didn't see them yesterday which made her a little worried but she knew they were capable in taking care of themselves despite how they act so she didn't show that much concern. She bows politely to the guards as they let her leave without any questions. She then wonders off the town and figured that it was a lot bigger than Ãlsuais because of the balcony view last night though she shivers in having to find Ralse, Relsa and Hayls in this massive town. She asks people if they ever saw two twins and a wolf walking down in this town to which people replied they did not. In a panic, she hesitantly went into the apartment-like building and almost cried when the person who worked there (Receptionist in her world) told her that there was indeed a hundred floors. Her feet if they could speak would definitely curse her awful things. Before she could step on a stair, she facepalms herself and asked the receptionist if a three people booked a room, twins and a wolf which the person nods and tells her the room. Persephone could almost feel her legs crumbling as the person tells her that their floor was on the 90th floor. Her face turns sour going up the stairs and wished there was an elevator or could just use her Telekinetic powers to control herself and use it to make herself fly. She shook it off because then she realized it was embarrassing if a witness saw a human girl fly up from the stairs, it would have been weird she thought.
Persephone felt like she aged a year before finally arriving at her subordinate's room. She knocks on the door expecting the same people she would be seeing but instead, she did get the same people except that they weren't in clothes which made her screech and close her eyes.
"M-master Persephone! Where did you— IM SO SORRY! I WILL CHANGE RIGHT AWAY!" Hayls runs to a room and the twins noticed his panicked and embarrassment look so they look outside and immediately regretted it as they also burst into a room. When they finally come outside, Persephone could finally opens her eyes as they tell her.
She hesitates but when she accidentally felt her sleeveless arm touch someone's chest, she verified that it was a type of fabric before she finally opens her eyes. She covers her face embarrassed while the rest try to find words to explain their... comfortable selves.
"Sorry Master Persephone, we were just about to look for you when we were done changing but you came searching for us instead." Relsa apologizes and Persephone accepts it.
She sighs with her hands cross and looks at her subordinates clothes as they were far different from what they would usually wear. The clothing the twins wore only consisted jewelry on every single thing from head to toe while Hayls covered his face and hair with this jacket and when he took if off, it revealed a white tank top and pants. These clothes they wore made Persephone feel a bit weird as the clothes they wore were more revealing than hers. "Wow...what did they give you? you all look like a completely different person."
They all look at her confused because they definitely did not feel that they changed one bit and Persephone just sighs defeated. She asks them what they were gonna do in this town as they tell her that they were told to go to this anonymous place and Persephone already grew suspicious the soon as they said "anonymous". She tells them if she could go as well and they nod frantically, happy that they were finally going to be traveling with their Master again.
Persephone then looks down the stairs and she thinks of something. "Oh, I forgot. I will inform Ray to where we'll—"
Persephone sees Hayls and the twins drag her off as she didn't get the chance to inform Ray about their location and guessed that they did not like Ray at all. The twins grabbed a hold of everyone and snapped their fingers as they were transported at the first floor of the "apartment". The receptionist flinch as the poor woman didn't expect that four people would suddenly come out without heading down stairs. They then went outside and Hayls looked like he was searching for something or at least a location.
"Wait, guys may I ask who told you this?" Persephone looks at them in suspicion.
They then try to remember who the person was and the first to speak was Ralse. "Oh! it was this lady that came up to us when we were in the middle of the streets trying to look for you last night Master."
Persephone feels that she had to interpret this but also felt like the invitation was inexplicable. Usually if a person invites you somewhere you wouldn't suspect as dangerous is when it is from inside of the town where everyone is a witness and where the stores/places would get placed. The location Hayls pointed was in a dark hallway that Persephone knew was bad as those places in horror movies are usually the places everyone except the main character dies. She hid behind Ralse as he gladly accepts her closeness and brought her closer to him. The walk was almost endless as it took them ten minutes to arrive at the destined location and all Persephone could say when she saw the place was—
"hell no." As the place looked almost haunted, owned by serial killers.
"Ugh, I don't trust that thing." All of the men shared the same opinion as her and paused, they were already doubtful of the place and when they finally saw it, they grew even more uncomfortable.
Everyone does not take a step as it was very obvious that this place gave an eerie vibe to it and although Persephone was distrustful, she had to be the "Responsible Master" for everyone and goes first, though going to this place was an irresponsible move. They all follow behind her silently as they try to not make a sound.
Persephone opens the door and there it was, the images she imagined was completely wrong when it is another arena aside from how different it is from other arena she had been into. She Backs away because she saw almost naked ladies who wore extremely revealing clothes yell at the audience for who would win this next battle. Two men came up the arena and the second they crash onto eachother, Persephone was terrified of the amount of blood that spilled through the two men but they continue to fight making Persephone fearful. Hayls sees this and covers his Master's eyes as he now was also disgusted with the amount of blood splattered on the floor. The twins even though they were vampires, were sickened at the sight and grossed out from the fight.
Persephone does not want to look back and shivers while Hayls tries to comfort his Master.
"Hayls..." She said shakily. "I have to heal those people... they're going to die."
Hayls agreed with her sentiment and reluctantly goes in the bar?/arena?/strip club? or whatever this is called.
He then looks around the tables and sees the person who recommended them to go here with a bunch of beautiful ladies on both of his arms. Hayls told the twins to hold Persephone whilst also closing her eyes as he talks to the man who suggested it. The twins nod and try to find a table that was empty and finally did when the seated people moved to another crowded area. By then, Persephone already grew the confidence to look up at the arena without feeling nauseous instantly.
The twins felt sorry for their Master as she tries her best to not look away every second. "This is disgusting..I knew we shouldn't have came here. I'm sorry Master Persephone, please forgive us for doing this to you." Both twins said apologetically.
"It's alright, it is not your fault. The only reason why I'm here is because of the cool skills anyways." She said trying to not sound disgusted which the twins did not believe her.
They look back at the fight and the second they do, a man flies out the door and destroys it while the one who was responsible for it laughs in confidence. The almost naked woman puts his hand up and speaks as he was victorious while the crowd cheers loudly. Persephone being herself, she ran out of the room and finds the man brutally injured, she heals him instantly. Without noticing it, the crowd looks at her full of judgement as the lady screams to Persephone—
"Healing is prohibited in the game so Fighter Tiger, tell your healer next time. WHO'S NEXT?!"
Persephone heard it clearly but refused to stop and by the time the woman notices she hasn't stop, Fighter Tiger woke up and he touches his face and feels that he has no injuries then looks at Persephone angrily.
"YOU BITCH, YOU GOT ME DISQUALIFIED!!" He yelled like a madman and aggressively slaps Persephone and as he tries to again Ralse immediately notices the danger and protects Persephone from the crazy man. Persephone stares at Ralse who looked furious as his eyes instead of the pinkish-red Persephone knew, became the same red blood eyes when they first met. The man steps back in fear. She gets up and tries to calm down Ralse to prevent him to do something she knows that will result in awful consequences.
"R-ralse no, it's okay. I'm not hurt, I swear." And with that, he calms down and hugs Persephone while his head lays on Persephone shoulder. She pats him and sees her other subordinates run towards her with concern.
"Master Persephone! are you alright? Is my brother alright?!"
"Master! are you hurt? please let me heal you right away!"
She smiles at her subordinates and reassures them that she was alright. Her subordinates all hug her and Persephone tries her best to calm down everyone. She then looks at the man who tried punching her and felt pity for him as he probably just wanted to fight and get the prize but she got him disqualified. After they finished hugging her, the same woman-director then spoke up loudly.
"OH!? What was that? was that a romance between a girl and three princes protecting their princess? What do you feel about it Fighter Tiger? how do you feel almost punching a woman then getting punched instead?" She said wickedly causing the poor man to get humiliated as the crowd laughs at him.
Persephone looks at her subordinates blushing and realizes it was because of what the woman said and facepalms herself. Besides from that, she felt guilty for Fighter Tiger as he looked weak and defeated.
"Wait please." She gets up and speaks up enough for the woman to hear. The woman listens.
"I'm not his healer, I'm just a random lady who healed him so please don't disqualify him because of something he didn't choose to do." She bows in apology to the audience, to the other fighter, the woman and Fighter Tiger."
The woman-director looks at the other director except it was a man and nods.
"Well if your not his healer than it's not prohibited. Although he got healed fully and it is unfair, it technically isn't against the rules so come up here Fighter Tiger!" The woman instantly changed her side and beckoned Tiger to come up her which he gladly does. The audience were two-faced and booed Tiger because of his embarrassing moment but then cheers him again because he got redemption. It made Persephone feel distasteful.
"Master Persephone you're too kind..." Hayls said and sighs. The others agree with the sentence and joined his sighing. Persephone disagrees. "I'm not that kind really..no one is too kind."
"But besides that, let's go back inside? Hayls, the man you had a conversation with wasn't finished right, you should probably go talk to him and thank you for worrying about me." Thankfulness is shown in her eyes as Hayls also gets up and went back to talking with the man.
"I don't want to continue being here...what if you get hurt Master Persephone?" Concern in their voices as they show their worries while Persephone just pats them and enlightens them.
"Don't worry~ You guys are my princes right? I know you'll protect me." She said teasingly.
"Uwahh! Master Persephone, don't say that!"
"Master Persephone please..." Both twins flush in embarrassment and tries to find an explanation on why their Master was like this even in serious situations.
She laughs and goes back inside while the twins follow her, still embarrassed.
