Chen's mother shook her head at her son, then picked up the burdensome luggage and followed behind Chen's father. Even though she hadn't said a single word of refusal, Yuncheng already knew her answer.
She also wanted him to go back, to return to that small mountain ravine. Was he destined to never make a name for himself in his whole life?
He didn't want to go back; he wanted to return to school. He was only a year away from graduation, and only after graduating could he find a good job.
"Are you coming or not?" Chen's father stopped in his tracks and shouted forcefully at Yuncheng, "If you don't go, from now on don't call me dad, and I won't have a son like you."
Chen's mother tugged at Chen's father's sleeve, yet both of them had tears streaming down their faces.
They didn't want to, they were reluctant, but...
Yuncheng watched as his old father and mother left, thinking back to his own father's words, "If you don't go, we won't have a son like you."
