"Let's go," Gu Ning rubbed Tang Yuxin's forehead again, "keep up, we'll find a place to live ahead."
Of course, they found this livable place. It is actually a small tunnel dug out for vehicles to pass. Besides having a roof, the sides were exposed to wind.
In the evening, Tang Yuxin took out the boxed meals from the suitcase. She held it to her nose: still edible, thankfully it hadn't gone off.
They still had four boxed meals, enough for tomorrow. If it wasn't devoured by tomorrow, it would have to be thrown away; for the days to come, they would be subsisting on instant noodles.
Gu Ning grabbed a box of food and began to eat, but Tang Yuxin didn't touch hers.
Prepared for the worst, they could only do so much for the unknown journey ahead.
In this respect, Gu Ning thought deeper than Tang Yuxin.
If Tang Yuxin didn't know better, she'd chatter away incessantly as eating could help relieve her anxiety.
