By the time Gu Ning had finished putting away everything outside, he entered the house, only to find that Tang Yuxin had already fallen asleep, with her computer still on and displaying some sort of fighting game.
He didn't know how she had managed to fall asleep like that, or perhaps she just liked the sound of it.
Gu Ning walked over, closed the laptop, and placed it aside. Then he pulled the blanket up over her, as the warmth of the summer sun during the day gave way to a slight chill at night. The area had distinct days and nights and clear-cut seasons, making it an ideal place to live with year-round temperatures within a comfortable range. It's no wonder so many people loved to vacation here.
The wind lifted a corner of the curtain, and occasionally a breeze laced with the scent of the ocean would enter, fresh and natural yet with its own unique salty crispness.
