The convoy quickly sped out of the gate and began to make its way to the east gate. I look back at the two girls and see them gawking at the speed we are going at. I turn back and look at the rapidly approaching outer walls, an orange glint from a rooftop catches my attention.
"Contact right, open fire!" I shouted over the loud rumbling of the engines. The 50.cal quickly lights up the roof of the building tearing holes into the person on the roof, the people around on the street cover their ears only to realise that the loud noises have quickly stopped.
"Clear!" Mark shouts back into the cabin, I look back towards the east gate and see soldiers quickly rushing out of the way of the vehicles. A rush of air hits the M-ATV as we leave the city through the east gate with considerable speed.
I let out a long-winded sigh, "*Stchk* Time to RTB" I say relived over the comms.

"Finn, we're approaching the camp now," James says with a smile on his face.
"Copy that, how are you ladies holding up back there?" I ask politely while turning around. And they have fallen asleep wow. One of them looked up at me and started to get flustered.
"Don't worry we're almost back at your sisters camp," I say softly with a smile.
"O-o-ok," She looked back down and started to dose off again.
I look back out the front and see a few of the knights waving at us as we approach; they pushed one of the wagons forming a protective ring around the camp out of our way and let us in. We drove the M-ATV around back to our fire from last night and the MRAP RG-33L's parked off to the side on the outer section of the camp. I spot Katrina running towards me as I climb down from the M-ATV, she is smiling and waving at me. This girl.
"Hello again Katrina." I say politely
"Just call me Kat, ok." She pouts.
"Ok," I chuckle
"Did you rescue my father?" she asks pleadingly
"Yes, we also found your sister and another young girl, and we rescued all of the remaining palace staff," I say, while watching her smile grow wider and wider, I turn around and open the back door to the M-ATV. The two young girls whose unconscious forms were peacefully slumped against each other didn't stir.
"Time to wake up girls we're here," I say softly, while hanging onto the side of the M-ATV.
"Huh, what time is it?" They both ask in unison, while slowly looking around.
"Come-on Sis really, your that tired," Kat asked mockingly
"Wait! KAT!" She suddenly jolted up and looked at her sister; quickly getting up she jumps out at her sister and hugs her.
"Hate, to interrupt your little reunion, but your father is still injured we're currently offloading him now," I say to the girls with a smile, "We can only do so much to help him."
"Father is injured?" Kat asks looking at me pleadingly, while still locked in an embrace with her sister.
"Yes, he has been poisoned we're moving him to one of your tents," I say, "we aren't too sure about what he was poisoned by though."
"Take me to him," Kat says full of determination, as she pulls away from her sister.
"Follow me," I say and walk toward a large tent with an MRAP RG-33(L) parked outside. We entered the Tent and Mark was standing next to the Large bed, that the king was laying in, fiddling with medical supplies from the back of the MRAP.
"Sir!" Mark said as he turned around, "We have managed to stabilize his condition but I don't know what this poison is so I can't cure it right now."
"Understood," I say back to him, I turn back to the girls, "So is there any way you can identify the poison?"
"I don't know…" Kat looks at me solemnly, "I could get some of our healers to identify it I think."
"Ok, let me know if you need anything, we'll be happy to provide any support we can," I say to her and me and Mark walk towards the entrance of the tent. I push open the fabric and I am immediately bathed in sunlight, it takes a second for my eyes to adjust and I notice the group of the palace staff rushing towards us. I look at Mark who is just as surprised as I am, they quickly reach us and start kneeling.
"Thank you for rescuing us!" they shouted in unison, I didn't think they would go this far, but the rush of rescuing people always feels good.
"No need to kneel, we were just doing our job," I say, they stood up and bowed towards us then turned and went back to their normal activities. As they went back to their normal activities I turned to Mark.
"Are you hungry?" I ask
"Damn Right I'm hungry," he chuckles, "let's call the others."
"*Stchk* You guys hungry?" I ask over the comms
"*Stchk* Hell yes" James shouts over the radio.
"*Stchk* Yeah, and it's a yes from Fabian, we're eating by the M-ATV, right?" Rob asks
"*Stchk* Yeah, meet you there, make sure to bring the other MRAPS over."
"*Stchk* Copy that," Rob says
"Hey, Mark you mind driving the MRAP back?" I ask.
"No problem," he replied and jogged over to the MRAP and hopped in the driver's seat. The loud rumble of the engine starting pierced the quiet air, I ran up to the back of the MRAP and jumped on grabbing onto the side armour., I raise my hand and bang twice on the armour plating signalling Mark to drive forward. I brace for the change in movement as he picks up a decent amount of speed, before I know it, we're back by the M-ATV. I jump off the back of the MRAP as Mark shuts down the engine, I walk around the side and see the rest of the team sitting around the embers of a fire.
"System, summon 5 American MREs," I say, a few seconds later the magic circles appeared again and the MREs rose out of the ground. I reached down and picked them up, and looked at the labels and a smile crept across my face.
"How you holding up guys," I say, as I sit down next to them, and hand out the MREs.
"Good, a bit tired but I'm fine, I am starving though," Fabian said while I was handing him an MRE.
"I'm fine," James replies
"Tired man," Rob said while yawning.
I started opening the MRE and heating it only took a minute. I dug into the delicious meal, as did the others and we decided to get some shut-eye.
I awoke to the sounds of my watch's alarm, I stood up and looked around at the others who were also now starting to stir. I go over to the vehicles and unsummon everything except the M-ATV, after this I start doing some warm-up stretches to get my muscles ready. After finishing my exercises I walk over to my team.
"So, how do think the kings doing?" I ask them cheerily.
"I think we're about to find out," Mark says as he stares behind me, I turn around and see Kat walking towards us.
"Hello, what can we do for you?" I ask her as she approaches us.
"My father is now better and would like to discuss plans to take back the kingdom," She says flatly.
"Ok, we will be over in a bit," I reply, I look back at my team who are getting their kit ready.
"So, how do you think we will take back this country?" Mark asks while checking his pack.
"I don't know but I'm sure the king has some ideas of how to go about it," I reply.
I assemble my team in front of me and we head out towards the king's tent. As we were walking Kat spotted us and ran over to us.
"Hi, come this way, my father has eagerly been awaiting your arrival." She says cheerily and quickly walks us over to a large tent surrounded by many knights who were on guard. Kat quickly dismisses them and most fall out apart from two knights who guarded the entrance. Spotting us approaching them the guards moved aside and let us walk inside. The tent itself seemed to be made of expensive material, inside there was a table in the center with a large detailed map spread over it. The king was standing on the opposite side of the table looking over the map, as we entered his face lifted.
"Father, these are the warriors who rescued you and my younger sister from the palace," kat announced with a smile.
"Ah, I thank you greatly for coming to aid my daughters and me," he said politely, "Kat says that you are from another world?"
"No problem, and yes we are from another world," I reply.
"Now, for the reason, I summoned you here," he says, "to take back the kingdom. I haven't figured out how to do this without the bloodshed of my people, it is also very difficult to get into the capital as we do not know how far the corruption runs."
"I see, that could be troublesome," I reply while scratching my chin.
"I was hoping you could give me some insight into this matter as you have already infiltrated my most guarded city," he asks me while looking at our attire.
"Ok, so what's first on the hit list?" I ask.
"That would be cleaning up the last of the corrupt nobles inside the capital, I have already got reports from my scouts that the other cities are not under the control of the corruption" I reply while pointing out the cities on the map. He points at the largest city on the map and says "This is the capital city, I know you have already been there but hopefully this map will help you to create a plan."
"Ok, let's get to it then," I say as the rest of my team gather around the table to give their suggestions throughout.
