She looked at him perplexed, who made signals with his hands, before his sword disappeared.
"T-Thanks." She ached her throat, feeling a sharp pain from her earlier murderer's hands. She looked at the body, which then turned to dust, like nothing had been there.
"Do you like to dine with trouble? Why can't you just sit like a good girl. "Twilight made steps to her, where he then removed her hand that was aching her neck.
He looked at her red neck. "Does Is hurt that bad. " He asked, rubbing his thumb on the red area, which made Fiona hiss In pain.
"Off course It does." She looked at him, who still had eye focused on the affected area.
"Then you should stay out of trouble, then. " He redrew his hands from her neck. He then backed her, In attempt to walk away.
"How do I stay out of something I don't even cause, I'm a victim here. And what was that thing... " She pointed her hands to the Sandy remains of the creature. "...that tried to kill me. " Twilight still backed her, not minding to look at her.
"I don't know. " And he left there, leaving Fiona to wonder If he was lying or being Ignorant. But Twilight did say the truth, he had never seen anything like that before.
She just left the exhibit, and when she went to the canteen, her mates were already gone. She saw their tour guide and decided to ask him.
"Excuse me Mr. Henry. " He turned to look at her with a smile.
"Yes Miss, what are you still doing here. Your from Royal High academy, right? "
"Yes sir. Have they left already. "
"No dear, they won't leave without you. You should probably check the parking spots for them. "
"Thank you sir. " And she ran out of the Museum to the parking spots. When she got there, Sir Lewis was the only one waiting outside the bus, while the other students were all In the bus.
"Where have you been. " He asked her calmly. Where as she was panting a bit.
"I-I went to the rest-." He cut her words short.
"Don't worry, just get In the bus. " Fiona just nods and gets In the bus, same with Sir Lewis.
She went back to her sitting position, where Aviva wasn't there, she had ventured herself to gossip at the back seats.
"Where you waiting to be called, silly girl." Twilight said to her after she sat down, still looking at the window view.
She glared at him. "Avoid me. " Was all she said.
"Avoid you?, you say. So the next time a blood driven mad man tries to eat you alive, I'll just get my tea to watch the show. " He then looked at her, who held sharp glares at him. "Next time, save yourself. "
"Your just..... " Fiona's words were cut short, when the bus started It's engines, and began moving.
"I'm just what? " He raised a brow, waiting to hear her reply, but she just clenched her palm Into a fist. "Silly girl, doesn't know how to make sense of her words." He turned his face back to looking at the window view.
Fiona decided to enjoy the silence, not minding to reply him. She laid her head on the back of the seat, and closed her eyes. Today was exhausting, everyday was a journey for her.
From this, to that. What next, witches. If a witch caught her, maybe It would be better. At least she would be far from this menace.
Twilight noticed she was about taking a nap, so he drifted to his own thoughts.
What was that thing. From all his years of killing beasts and monsters, he had never seen something like that.
I have to get back to Phosaither, but with the Instances, I had to babysit this pain. He looked at Fiona who arranged her hair proper, still with her eyes closed.
The bus then stumbled on a speed bump, which made Fiona to land on Twilight's arm. It was a slight stagger, and she was still asleep.
Twilight looked at her with Irritation, but placed her head proper to lie on his chest, while his arm rested on the top of the head of the seat.
Fiona snuggled him, like he was her blanket, and Twilight looked pissed a little, but a bit amused that this fragile being was the chosen one. And yet she had no powers uncovered.
Fiona woke to find her head on his chest, she sat proper. They both didn't utter a word. The bus came to a stop, and the students started getting down from It.
She followed suit, with Twilight looking at her every step.
When everyone was down from the bus, Sir Lewis began saying, "Just to Inform all of you. Your going to have a test on the trip we just took. Orders of the principal. Your all excused. " Everyone chattered over what he said, as they made their way back to their classes.
Everyone was seated In their class, enjoying their free period. A day would be used for the excursion, which means the rest of the day was free from lessons.
"Fiona... " Aviva asked Fiona who looked like she was about sleeping.
"Mhm." She mumbled.
"If you need me, I'm gonna be at Sir Lewis office." She didn't wait for Fiona's reply, she just dashed out of there.
Fiona just rested her head on the table, feeling nauseous. She was then knocked to slumber.
"Sir Jinx. " Amilys called Jinx from across the street, who seemed to be distracted by the book he was reading.
Fiona realized she had been brought back to the dream world where she saw visions of the mysterious Jinx.
"Amilys?" He looked confused, as she made her way across the street. She held a sweet smile towards him.
"Yes Jinx. Why are you shocked. " She played with her hair.
"I'm surprised your here. I thought you Informed me that you would be busy today." He put the book he was reading Into his white cloak, with the hood left open.
"Well...., I guess I'm free now." Her smile widened.
Jinx looked at her with care In his eyes. Over the months, they had become close friends, and It was something he didn't want to lose.
"I'm heading to my house, why don't you accompany me. "He smiled back at her.
"Sure. " And they began walking towards the outskirt of the town, with little to no houses around.
On reaching a small Hut, Jinx opened It with ease, he guided Amilys Inside, and she was welcome with the mess he had. Books where out of place everywhere.
The only mess here was the books that were not kept on the small book shelf.
"Sorry about the mess. I didn't know I would have a guest." He said embarrassed.
"No, no. I'm family, so no problem. " She assured him. "How about you arrange this, while I cook something up. "
"Your my guest, you can't do that. " He tried stopping her, but she had already made her way to the kitchen, which was outside the Hut.
After a while, he was done cleaning, he then settled his cloak on a rack, near the exit. He went to check on Amilys, who was already done cooking.
She carried the pot of food with a rag, and smiled at him. "Food Is ready." She lead him back Into the Hut, and settled the pot on the dinning table. "Let me dish you some. "She went to the small pantry, and got a metal plate.
She settled It down, and served him the hot broth.
He sat on the wooden chair, not protesting her serving him, he just smiled at her sweet gestures. Her hair was a bit disarranged, as she had failed to arrange the strands of her hair that were out of place.
He watched her, amused by her calm features. Her long dark lashes that showed equal beauty to her brown eyes. And her plump lips that stood red and bright.
"Here. " She settled the plate In front of him.
"Thanks Amilys, but you shouldn't have stressed yourself. " She frowned at his words.
"As your family, I am not stressing myself. Okay. " She smiled at him again. "Now eat, It's my world best broth. " She giggled slightly, leaving Jinx to wonder on how her simple gestures affected him.
When they were both done eating, he assisted her In washing the dishes, even though she persisted for a while.
They finished washing the dishes, as they both went back to the living room.
"So what trick will you show me today Jinx. " She sat down on the wooden floor, as Jinx brings out a golden spell book from the shelf.
"How about a conjuring spell." He smirked at her.
"Hmm..... a conjuring spell? That's a new one." She played with her hair.
He came to sit In front of her, placing the book In their middle, as he flips through some pages, before stopping at a page.
"Here, a conjuring spell." He placed his finger on the page. "To summon anything. From strong beings, to mythical creatures and animals." He explained to her, who looked taken aback by his words. "How about we conjure up a butterfly. For our safety. " He smiled at her.
He chanted the mantra, and clipped his fingers, and then butterflies popped out of nowhere. Amilys looked at them with awe.
"These are beautiful." As a butterfly came to land on her finger she stock out for It.
"A spell can be done with simple words, while others needs special settings. But that Isn't Important for you. " He looked at her, who was still engulfed with the purple butterflies around them. Within the next seconds, the butterflies vanished.
Amilys frowned. "Where did the go to? "
"From where the came. A conjuring spell doesn't last forever, Amilys. It has a limit. " He returned the book back to the shelf.
Over the months, he had been showing her about the world of spells and magic, she seemed Intrigued about those kind of stuff.
He got back to sit In front of her. "I wish they stayed longer. " She still frowned.
"Hey!" He placed a hand on her cheek. "How about I conjure something for you tomorrow. " He smiled at her, which made her blush. Smiling was something he did on rare occasions, not until he met her.
"Okay. " She got up. "I should better be going now. My aunt hates me being late home. "She headed for the door, when Jinx stopped her.
"Your hair Is out of place." He came closer to her, arranging her black hair with his hand, before cupping her cheeks.
"Thanks. " Jinx looked at her In a way he never noticed her before. Had she been this beautiful. "Is something wrong. "She looked at him, who still had a hand on her cheek.
"No. " he caressed her cheek.
"Jinx? " She called him who Inch his face slowly towards her, before he placed his lips on hers.
Amilys was taken by surprise, but It felt good to her, like he was doing nothing wrong to her. His lips warm and gentle on hers, It was something she hadn't experienced before.
He moved the hands that had been on her cheek, to her waist, tightening her closer to him, while taking his time In kissing her.
Amilys closed her eyes, kissing him back, placing a hand on his chest. It was something she had never experienced before. Her mind didn't go to why he was kissing her, all It went to was, If this could last forever.
As she was getting use to the moment, he redrew his lips from hers, looking her In the eyes, which she then opened.
He stepped back away from her, ashamed at what he did. "I'm sorry." He apologized. Amilys looked flushed, 'cause her cheeks were red.
"I should probably get going, then." She just left, not wanting to talk about their moment, 'cause It made her feel shy.
Jinx brushed his white hair In confusion, like what he did was wrong.
"Fiona! " Aviva tapped her, who was still sleeping, while she was drooling. She woke up, cleaning the saliva on her mouth. "Do you wanna sleep In school forever. " Aviva looked at her, who seemed to be regaining consciousness.
She Itched her face, before saying, "Where am I. " She scratched her eyes for better vision.
Aviva Itched her hair In frustration. "Your In school, silly."
"Did I sleep that long. " Fiona asked, getting up from her seat, noticing she and Aviva, were the only ones In school.
"Let's just go home. " Aviva tugged her, taking her to her locker to get her bag, where a few amount of students were on the hallway, before the left the school.
***
Later on, Fiona spent her time thinking In her room.
So If I'm not mistaken, those people are related to me. But why am I having visions of this Jinx guy, how Is he connected to me. Same with Amilys, how does she add up to the puzzle.
She was asking herself questions, no one would give her the answers to. She decided to search on their history, but she found nothing about them, like the two people she was searching for, don't even exist.
Fiona Itched her temples, why wasn't there anything about these two people. Do they even exist, but why and how, would she be seeing visions of people who didn't even exist.
The story didn't add up. Fiona just went to bed, even though she had difficulty sleeping. But after a while, she was knocked down to slumber, to the dream world, which showed her visions.
A knock on the door was heard, and Amilys opened It to find Jinx there, holding a bouquet of white carnations. Fiona stood, watching them closeup.
"Jinx, what a surprise seeing you here. " Her cheeks flushed at the thought of their kiss.
"I came to apologize for what I did yesterday. It was silly of me, I didn't know what came over me. " He bent his eyes down, not meeting her gaze, that looked at him with no worry.
"You don't have to apologize. If the heavens destined what had happened yesterday to happen, who are we to judge. " She played with her hair nervously.
"But I'm still sorry. Here. " He handed the flowers to her, she collected them without thinking twice.
"Jinx..., these are beautiful. But you shouldn't have. " She sniffed the flowers, before looking back at him.
"It's my token of apology. " He smiled at her.
"I don't want to stress the matter anymore, Jinx. So I will just take the flowers, because I love white carnations. Where are my manners. " She stepped away from the door, giving way for Jinx to Come In. "Come In. " He came In, bending his head to pass through the door that was lower than him.
"Sorry my house his too shabby. " She lead him to a wooden chair, he then sat down.
"No worries. So where Is your aunt. " He asked, taking In the view of the house.
"She travelled. " She then came to sit opposite him, on a wooden chair.
"To where. " He asked, curious.
"She didn't say where, but she said she had unfinished business with a trader of some sort." She stood up.
"How about I get you a cup of tea. " She smiled at him.
"If I refuse you, the heavens won't forgive me. " He chuckled softly, while Amilys smiled before going to get the cup of tea.
Fiona was then dragged out of the house, by some force, bringing her to a spot of the forest. She saw the mysterious woman In a white cloak.
"Where did you go. And why do I keep coming here. " She asked her, who then opened the hood of her cloak. Fiona looked at the woman In awe.
"Amilys?! " How had she not notice the resemblance with the mysterious woman and Amilys. So she had been the one showing her these visions. . The woman looked calm as before, holding a smile on her face.
"Yes, Fiona. Ask as your heart pleases. " She stood still, with the cold breeze swaying her cloak with It.
"I'm a bit confused here. What am I doing here. And who Is Jinx, how Is he related to me. " Fiona asked Amilys, who still had a smile on her face.
"Jinx Is the cause of danger, and you are here to know your faith. " The smile disappeared from her face, at the mention of Jinx.
"What faith, and what danger does he cause. " The breeze blew by like a whisper on Fiona's face, who tried to make sense of everything.
"You will only find discomfort If you don't find the rings. The danger he caused, lives on to affect the humans and our kind. " Her voice straight without emotions, like her sweet aura had been spoiled, just because of the mention of Jinx's name.
Fiona looked confused. Did Jinx do something to offend her. And what did she mean by our kind.
"I am still not clear on your words Amilys. Why are you here. And what are these rings I keep hearing of."
"I am here for you. I am your dream guide. And the rings are your faith.Fiona looked agape.
"What's a dream guide? And my faith? "
"See you again, Fiona." She skipped her question, and with that being said, Amilys vanished, and Fiona woke up, with sweat beads on her forehead.
