"Then.. Miss Phillips is dead?"
Carlos stammered.
"This…"
Thomas stood rooted to the ground, as if he didn't know what to say.
Among the three of them, only Diana had a strange expression on her face. She quickly ran to Connor and said, "Mr. McDonald, Miss Phillips doesn't seem to be dead yet!"
"What did you say?"
When Connor heard Diana's words, he suddenly looked up at her, his voice hoarse and scary.
"Mr. McDonald, let me examine Miss Phillips!"
Diana replied in a low voice before placing her right hand on Freya's chest.
A few seconds later, Diana said excitedly to Connor, "Mr. McDonald, Miss Phillips's heart is beating. She's not dead yet!"
Connor's eyes flashed with a glimmer of light again, and he hurriedly reached out to touch Freya's chest.
Although Freya was no longer breathing and had no pulse, Connor realized that her heart was beating.
"Freya is alive. She's actually alive…"
