"Yes?"
Connor asked impatiently.
"I'll be getting off work soon. Come pick me up!"
Rachel said softly.
"Can't you take a taxi?"
Connor asked speechlessly.
"If I could take a taxi, why would I call you? I forgot to bring money when I left today. Also, Connor, what's with your attitude? Have you forgotten how I helped you with the Collier family? If it wasn't for my help, would you have been able to get Yaakov Ward's hard drive?"
Rachel shouted.
After Connor heard Rachel's words, he had a helpless expression and immediately said in a low voice, "Alright, I got it. I'll go pick you up now!"
After saying that, Connor hung up the phone.
"This lady sure knows how to order me around!"
Connor complained speechlessly and then walked out of the office.
Rachel's university wasn't very far from Stormbound Tower. Connor took about ten minutes to reach the school's gate.
