Connor gave a faint smile and said playfully, "I never intended to kill you!"
"You're not planning to kill me?"
Wadi seemed somewhat surprised as he asked.
"Of course not!"
Connor nodded gently and continued, "We had no grudges or conflicts to begin with. Why should I kill you? It wouldn't benefit me in any way."
"But I was planning to kill you just now..."
Wadi looked at him, still wearing a look of disbelief.
"You wanted to kill me, but you didn't have the ability. I could have killed you, but I don't think it's necessary."
Connor replied lightly, then turned and left.
Wadi lay on the ground, feeling deeply ashamed. He had never expected the outcome to be like this.
