"Please stay in line! Please stay in line! Plea– hey, no pushing!! Single file! Jeez, just how many students are there this year!?"
"Hey man, relax. It was like this the last time Aurora attended the academy as well. The kids were such a pain in the ass back then. Sigh, time sure does fly by fast."
"Oi stand on guard. Even if they're a bunch, it's best to keep a close air on them. You never know when th— hey!! Strictly forbidden to use your abilities in the academy! You come with me! Sorry, I'll see you guys later once I bring this kid to the detention center."
It was crowded. To be more precise, it was literal hell. Smelling each other's odor, some, while suffocating from pure firmness. Of course, that didn't apply to them.
"Aww they're so lucky! So much with nobles and commoners being equal in the academy. I wished my family were nobles…."
"Right? But hey, don't worry about it too much. We may be commoners but don't let the title fool you."
"Yeah, you're probably right…"
Just across from the crowded students, there was another section of a line where the nobles were located. Unlike the cramped space between many, this section had a very open space around 5 feet or more so that others could have free space.
"So lucky!"
"Ha, nobles get everything. I envy them…"
"Right? I wish I were one of them…maybe my life would've been different than the one I have."
While the lower class struggled, the other kids in the nobility class swiftly went through the assembly.
Time taken: 10 minutes.
While the teachers and staff continued to struggle keeping the students ordered. The speaker was announced.
– [Students, if you will please sit in the seats you're numbered. Remember, keep it down after you guys have sat down. Try to keep it to a down low voice? Thank you for your patience.]
In a single-file line, the students started to look for their number seats and did as the announcer told them to do. The assembly was soon filled with chatter as students were beginning to fill in the seats.
Aside from that, the teachers were nowhere to be seen except the stage in front. An individual emerged from the curtains behind and came in front of the stage. Even with all the students still having their conversations with others, they seem to pay no attention whatsoever. With the mic already set up for him, he gently tapped the head.
Tap, tap.
"Hello? Is this working? Ah, great, now students, may I have your attention?"
Unfortunately, the students did not face their presence, instead they ignored the solitary man.
"Hello, kids, I would like to start the assembly. If I may, I would like to start this assembly."
Once again, the students did not pay attention. Thus carried on with each other's talk.
The gentleman once began his tapping, rather, his thigh.
Kids will always be kids, they sighed.
Tap. tap. Tap. tap.
With every second he lifted up his finger, they showed no signs of hostility. Rather they were soft.
With a final tap of his finger, an unwelcoming presence overcame the atmosphere. Soon the students started to feel uneasy.
"Hey, don't you guys feel a bit… funny…?"
"F*ck…. I feel nauseated…."
"Uh… again? What's with this…."
"What the hell…I'm….I'm feeling my energy stripping away from my body…"
"Uhhh-urk…!"
"Man, maybe eating too much peanut butter with water early in the morning wasn't a good idea…."
"The hell….?"
"...."
Snap.
With only a snap of his fingers, the unpleasant feeling that overwhelmed the students quickly vanished. He smiled. "I apologize students, however it hasn't been 5 minutes since the assembly's commencement. Although showing a bit of my energy was a bit off-guard. I'd figured it was the only way to grab your attention."
He cleared his throat. "Let me introduce myself. I am Evander Koen and from today onwards, I will not only be your principal of this esteemed institution as is my privilege to introduce you to the vibrant and diverse community that we have here. I, in addition, will also be a participant as one of the counselor's in this academy. It is a great pleasure to meet you at Atlantic Ashur Academy."
"At Atlantic Ashur, we believe that education is not just about academic excellence, but also about nurturing the whole person. We strive to create an environment that encourages personal growth and fosters a love of learning. Our goal is to prepare our students for a lifetime of success, not just in their careers, but also in their personal lives."
His eyes showed determination. Without humanity's hope, havoc could erupt once more. Villains would rapaged the cities and bring terrorism across the globe. While there are heroes that are near towards Aurora. Some just weren't even close compared to her. She was one of a kind.
"As you explore our campus and interact with our community, I am confident that you will find Atlantic Ashur to be a welcoming and inclusive place. We value diversity and embrace a wide range of perspectives, beliefs, and experiences. It is this diversity that makes our community so rich and dynamic."
Schools in America weren't always so great. The system was a failure and didn't provide any natural resources for one's children to convey in the real world. Every single one would not be so successful in life.
While the studies and teachings are incredibly useful still, the Academy Atlantic Ashur would provide those worries away without any negligence. The academy would provide education, life skills and so much more.
Evander clears his throat once more before opening his mouth with a firm voice.
"What I know of this school is that it's an opportunity for you all to experience in your lifetime."
He gently slaps the lectern in front of him. "These words may not be much nor hold a meaning to some of you, but I believe that all of you are this world's hope for humanity and all savior! I hope that all of you save this planet. Once again, I warmly welcome you all, and I look forward to the journey that lies ahead. Together, we will continue to build a strong and supportive community that prepares our students for a bright and successful future!"
The students began to clap their hands. While both commoners and nobles weren't in the same boat as 'cooperative' it doesn't seem both sides showed any hostile intentions towards one another. Could this school year possibly go by peacefully?
"Now, with all due respect, please applaud as I welcome you to this year's student council president who will be attending with you all. Princess Meira Von Luminosa."
Everyone presented in the assembly immediately clapped their hands. Mixed with cheers and whistling, Princess Meira revealed herself from the curtains.
Meira Von Luminosa, one of the princesses that'll be attending the academy Atlantic Ashur. Even the monarchy of Kings and Queens with the historical events that happened during the periods of time humans roamed the earth, regardless of being the 21 century, the monarchy restored as soon as the catastrophic occurrence of the supernatural hit Earth.
With the riches and resources blessed from the heavens, the rich prosper from it.
While the audience continued applauding, Evander bows respectfully, guiding her to the lectern. The crowd began to loosen before the whole assembly went silent.
She clears her throat and opens her mouth.
"Good morning, students of Atlantic. I, Meira Von Luminosa, welcome you all to this gathering. In a world where heroes and villains exist, it is a pleasure to see commoners and nobles come together to celebrate what we have in common. As a princess in this modern world, I understand that our society faces challenges that are unique and complex. But we are also blessed to have heroes among us, people who go above and beyond to protect and serve our community. We also recognize that villains exist, those who seek to sow chaos and destruction."
She takes a deep breath, "But today, we set our differences aside and come together to celebrate our shared values of kindness, compassion, and justice. We recognize the importance of working together to build a better world, one where everyone can thrive and live in peace." She smiles warmly. Her golden yellow hair cascaded down her back in luscious waves, the light catching each strand and making it shimmer like precious gold.
And her lips were smooth bright pinkish colored that as the light hits them, they gleam in delight. But it was her skin that truly set her apart. It was smooth and flawless, stalin stretched over a perfect form. Each curve and line was accentuated by the way the light played across her skin, as if she was made to be a living work of art.
"To our commoners guests, I want you all to know that your contributions are valued and appreciated. Your everyday heroism in your work, your communities, and your families make a difference. You are the backbone of our society, and we recognize your efforts in making our world a better place."
Her colorful blue eyes gleamed from the shining light like shiny diamonds that sparkled with an inner fire that captivated everyone in the room. While her pinkish lips were full and lush, it seemingly made for kissing and tempting those who dared to get close.
"–And to our noble guest! I recognize your leadership and dedication to protecting our community! Your heroism is an inspiration to us all, and we appreciate your efforts in maintaining justice and order! Your service to our society is invaluable, and we honor your commitment to the greater good!"
She spoke passionately and spiritedly. "Today, let us celebrate what unites us, rather than what divides us! Let us recognize the importance of heroes in our society, and the impact they have in shaping our world! And let us remain vigilant against those who seek to do harm, united in our efforts to create a better future for all!"
As she smiled, her skin seemed to glow even brighter, a soft warmth spreading across her face. "Once again, I, Meira Von Luminosa, thank you for joining us today! Thank you for being here, and I hope you enjoy your time with us! May the courage bless this country and this world!"
She raised an arm up high. The audience roared and gave a huge round of applause. Both boys and girls cheered towards Princess Meira.
"Meira, we love you!!!"
"Kyaa~~"
"Meira, please marry meee!!!"
"Thank you Princess Meira!!"
"Long live the princess!!"
"Princess Meira!"
Meira waved at the students with a smile on her face. Stepping away from the microphone, Koen guided her to the exit on stage and walked behind the curtains, disappearing from the sight of everyone who was watching.
Soon, everyone started to leave the assembly.
***
2nd period has ended shortly after the assembly, while it was still the first day of school, everyone was still lively along with some of the students still not getting used to the atmosphere other's had.
It was breakfast, while in other schools the time given would only be 10 to 15 minutes of break, however within the academy, students are able to enjoy a half-an-hour break of eating. Chris and Alexander had already gotten their breakfast in line. Seated at a table, Chris had already begun eating.
"Amazing! I never thought that the school academy food was good or not, but this is amazing! Mmm~~ Man this is good stuff!"
"Please refrain from speaking when you have food in your mouth. It's bad manners." Alexander says, taking a sip of his cup of coffee.
Alan gulps down his bottle of water. "Gulp, gulp. Seriously though, how can the academy produce this kind of food? I was expecting to be a bit more on a plastic plate with barely any food on it."
"You really expect the academy to present their students with low quality foods? The chiefs in this school are 3 stars, nearly 4, so it's natural that the food here tastes amazing. Seriously, do you have no sense at all about the academy's history?"
"...Sorry."
"There's no need to apologize, I can't blame you, but it looks like I'm going to have to teach you a ton of things. Think you're up for it?"
Chris's face brighten's before gulping his food. "Of course!" For a person like Chris, taking obstacles was a challenge he was willing to take. As a saying goes, 'One can't go beyond a barrier without knowing it's limit to one has!'
The two were chatting, shortly after someone suddenly called out to them. "Heeyy~!"
They both looked at the direction the voice had called out towards them. A smile formed on Chris's face, when he saw a familiar face. Delighted, he waved his hand towards them as he called out back. "Alessia! Hey how you been!"
Alessia smiled as he scooted herself next where Chris and Alexander were seated. "Wacha guys talking about?"
"It was nothing important." Alexander takes another sip of his cup of coffee before gently placing it down. "Chris here was just excited about the academy's wealth. How delicious the food was and how enormous it was. He's pretty excited for the next three years. I don't blame him, everyone has the same goal. Not just the academy but the whole world."
Alessia chuckled before facing Chris. "You still haven't gotten used to this place Chris?"
He nodded. "The classes and food are the most surprising to me! Ever since I stepped foot in this academy, it just gets me excited! Being a hero is one of the things I want to accomplish!"
Smiling, Alessia turned her head towards Alexander. "I suppose you won't be needing help about the academy's fairground. Right?"
"Don't be silly, I'm part of the Equine Family. We received strict teachings from our younger years and special training early years and so much. While I'm still lacking in many ways, compared to this, this isn't one of them. Franky, I appreciate your assistance."
The three continued to chat. What their favorite hobbies were and how the supernatural changed their lives. The bell soon rang however. Breakfast was over.
***
"Strip down and put these on. We got training to do."
"I'm sorry?"
"You heard me. Hurry up, we don't have all day!"
"Sir, I'm underage. A child."
"Pfft, I know that. You think I don't know? Stop making a fuss about it and quickly change! Hurry up, put these clothes on, we are going to begin with training! Come one we don't have all day! Vámonos, vámonos!!"
Brennan immediately tosses uniforms to his students. "Meet me at the track outside, lockers are open so you guys better be quick!"
He quickly disappears into the eyes of the students. Once again, he left without a single trace of sound.
The atmosphere inside the classroom was quiet. Once again, what's wrong with this person, they thought. While some of the students were still in awe, Chris was able to break the silence that was still in the room. He then starts to strip off his clothes.
"O-oi! What the hell!?"
"Kyaaa!!"
"W-what do you think you're doing!? Stripping in front of women!!? Do you have no shame?!"
"….Homie has some balls."
"....."
"...Oh my, my~"
Not long, Alexander started to do the same, but was a bit more comprehensive on his side. Before heading into the lockers, he turns his head at the others, "What are you guys waiting for? Sir Brennan most likely get upset if we don't change quickly. And you—" Alexander suddenly grabs Chris by the collar of his shirt. "you're coming with me. Sigh, this is going to be such a drag." He closes the door before he dragged Chris along with him.
The remaining students, who were still processing their thoughts before going into the lockers as well.
A couple minutes go by when the occurrence of an 'immodest' act in the classroom, some of the students were already in their uniforms following along with others quickly changing outfits. Regardless of the encounter for both sides, without knowing each other, the kids communicate despite meeting for the first time.
"I wonder what's with Tech request for dressing up with these uniforms?"
"Right? Even though it's third period, why is he going through lengths for us to change into these clothes?"
"...Murmur…sh*t, sh*t….n-no need to p-p-panic…e-everything is g-going to b-be alright….Yes, yes that's it!"
"Hey man, you good? You're shaking quite rapidly aren't ya?"
"Murmur…huh? Me!? Y-yeah, I'm doing alright…just nervous t-that's all!"
"....Are you sure? Want me to get a nurse for you?" Chris asked. He places his hand on his shoulder before getting startled.
"–!" With a guilty reaction he didn't want to express, he quickly smacks Chris's hand off. However, without knowing his 'hostile' actions he quickly apologized. "Sorry, I didn't mean to–!"
Left in awe, Chris could only smile warmly, as he had already understood what this person had experienced. "...No, I understand. I should be the one to apologize. Please forgive me."
Like an innocent child, who's still fidgeting uncontrollably, quickly shook his head. "N-no, please I should be the one ap-pologizing! …Please excuse me!" Already in his changed outfit, he swiftly left the locker room without looking back.
While some of the kids weren't paying any attention towards him, it seems only Alexander and a couple noticed the situation. Alexander, who was only left with his sweater to change in, asked in curiosity. "What's with him? I get it's only the first day of school, but isn't he taking strain on another level?"
Hearing this, Chris only shook his head in dejection with a smile. "No….that wasn't it."
Alexander titled his head in confusion.
"Let's finish changing. We don't want to wait for Mr. Brennan, now don't we?" While everyone was busy chattering with other neighboring students, Chris had already finished changing. "Come on, we don't wanna be late."
Alexander smiled and could only nod. "Right."
