"Eh? Folks! It looks like there's an even more heated battle occurring inside of the forest! We're switching up the channels!"
The image which was being displayed to the public changed. What was being displayed now was 2 young mages battling each other.
"What do we have here? Could that be the eldest son of the Celestia household!? Who is the unfortunate man that has ended up as his target!?" Asked the commentator.
"I'm betting on the Celestia, son!" Shouted a man from the audience.
"Me too! Take all my money!"
"Calm down! You all can't vote on the same person!"
The camera got a closeup of the two people fighting, and the battle itself.
...
*Boom* A loud sound resonated throughout the forest
It all happened in a split second.
I knew if my sword, or anything hit that attack, it would be sucked in, unable to escape. So instead I threw my attack at him, piercing his shoulder, I then used gravity style to propel myself back, although the pulling force of the wormhole was great, I was able to escape.
He looked over at him and in front of him was that small wormhole.
I kept my guard up and continued to observe him as I waited for his next move, when all of the sudden, the Orb started to pull me in.
I propelled himself further back and barely managed to avoid the trees.
"I see..." He muttered.
"See what..?" I asked.
"You're not even using your mark, just skills. If you incorporated your mark into the battle, then it would be something else..." He muttered.
That's because I don't know how to use my mark. I was just manipulating sin energy, not transforming it into different properties.
"Yo, what's your name?" He asked.
"I have no reason to tell an enemy my name," I replied.
"Then... I'll go first, my name is Astro, Astro Celestia." He said.
"Alright, I'm Akatsuki." I replied.
"Akatsuki... Very well, I've decided to spare you. It'd be a waste to get rid of you before you reached top 10. Consider yourself lucky." He said.
"Sparing me... I guess you could use that as an excuse for running away."
"Don't assume everything you saw was all I had." Astro spoke.
"Right back at you." I replied.
Hearing this, a small smile was formed on Astro's face as he gave me a bow. Despite having a rather cold look, he seemed rather pleased.
"Well then, I look forward to fighting you again soon. This time, let's both go all out." Astro suggested.
After he said that, he vanished.
"God... Who knew that there was such a talent in this group of 1000..."
The number of badges he took was lower than mine. But he was just as strong, or at least that's how it looked.
"I have a feeling that there are plenty more... I wonder what's going to happen when there are 10 left..." I thought.
"This is an announcement. 350 players remain. Hidden rule will be announced when 100 players remain." Said the voice.
Hidden rule..? I'm going to need to prepare fast, Gura and Kazhu can definitely handle themselves. I don't care about Baidu, she probably is fine.
Time to start the hunt.
...
"DIE YOU MORONS!" a wild girl said as she swung her sword at her enemies.
Giant feathers struck the enemies at the sides and finally, her mark came into view.
"AHHHHHHH!" she yelled, a blue flame ignited on her arms and transferred to her sword.
"BURN YOU BITCHES! DIVINE CLAW!" she yelled, all the trees on the vicinity turned into ash, as for all the students, they failed the exam.
"I suggest you don't cuss as much in a fight, the enemy might be notified." a young boy walked up from behind her.
"I know, I know!" she said, turning the flames off." looking at the teenager, he had yellow-green eyes and bright white hair. He held a sword, just like she did.
"Let's continue, I already checked, there are no more people here." he said, holding out his hand.
"O-Ok.." the crazy girl plushed, taking his hand, they walked into the distance.
...
"Finally! This is what you have been waiting for! 100 people are left and the rules have changed! Wipe the floor!" the commentator yelled, suddenly, all the trees and landforms in the arena disappeared, all that was left was a flat landscape.e mike
"FULLY SEEN BATTLE ROYAL! MAY THE BATTLES BEGIN!" the commentator yelled into the mike. Roars could be heard all around.
"Wow! Would you look at that folks, 20 people gone like that!"
BOOM!
SLAM!
"Dang it, where is Kazhu and Gura!" I gritted.
"Ohhh, what a wonderful surprise, ku ku ku..." a menacing laugh came from behind, I turned around and saw Baidu with her sword, but it wasn't a sword now, it was more shaped like a claymore.
"Happy to see me?" she said with an evil smile.
"No sorry, fuck off." I said, if I dealt with her, her parents wouldn't be happy.
"Do you even know what the word fuck means?" another voice came from my blind spot, this time, it was Astro.
"I know, it's what your parents regretted doing when they made you!" I said with a smirk.
[+46 Pride points]
Yummy stats, anyone I insulted gave me pride points, this also allowed me to predict their reaction, the higher their number, the worse the reaction.
I need to dodge this attack.
He burned with anger and focused mana into his hands, forming a black hole, I jumped into the air, but when I was looking down, I saw a figure patting Baidu's shoulder and she willingly backed out, who was this person?
"3...2...1... THE REMATCH BEGINS!"
