After Akira's battle with the demon, he resumed his routine of hunting demons. With the help of his map, which pinpointed the locations of demons, plants, and other essential resources, Akira swiftly dispatched his targets. However, one day while on a mission, he found himself too far from the village, unable to see Kanae and Shinobu's home on the system map.
At Kanae and Shinobu's Home
"Stop! Don't come any closer!" Kanae's young voice screamed. She was only eight years old, standing in front of her parents as the demon approached.
"Kanae, run!" her parents shouted, trying desperately to shield her from the demon.
The towering demon sneered. "You think you can protect them, weak humans? You'll all be my meal tonight."
A smaller but equally defiant voice cried out. "Demon! Don't you dare touch my family!" It was Shinobu, Kanae's five-year-old sister, standing beside her, trembling but unwavering in her resolve.
The demon laughed cruelly, disregarding their courage. With a swift motion, it struck down their parents. The two sisters screamed in horror and collapsed, fainting from the trauma.
Just as the demon prepared to feast, a shadow loomed over the scene. Himejima Gyomei, one of the strongest Demon Slayers, appeared and decapitated the demon in a single blow. As the demon's body crumbled to ash, Gyomei looked at the unconscious girls with deep sorrow. Knowing the pain they would wake up to, he quietly left behind a book on breathing techniques and Demon Slayer knowledge in their home, hoping it would guide them.
The next day
Akira returned to find Kanae and Shinobu burying their parents in a small, quiet grove. He knelt beside them, offering his silent support. Together, they stood over the graves, their hearts heavy with loss. The book Gyomei left behind became their new hope, and with Akira's help, the girls began to develop their breathing techniques, determined to honor their parents by becoming strong enough to fight back.
Akira, still haunted by the thought of losing someone dear to him, vowed to grow even stronger. He would never allow anyone he loved to die again.
Five Years Later
Akira had grown into an unstoppable force. He had mastered new skills and grown far beyond what he once thought possible. He also gained 100,000 points that he used to buy the teleport skilll. Meanwhile, Kanae had joined the Demon Slayer Corps at ten years old, quickly becoming a prodigious slayer.
"Status," Akira commanded.

"I think I'm strong enough to kill Muzan now," Akira muttered, though there was no excitement in his voice. "Maybe it's time to focus on something else..."
His thoughts drifted toward the future, and perhaps a desire for companionship. But before he could delve into those ideas, a familiar voice broke the silence.
"Akira-kun!" It was Shinobu, her tone cheerful and playful.
Akira stood and smiled as she approached. "Shinobu, what brings you here?"
"We're ten now, Akira. Don't you think it's time we joined the Demon Slayer Corps together?" she asked, her eyes gleaming with determination.
Akira considered it for a moment. "Yeah, it is time. When do we leave?"
"Tomorrow morning," Shinobu said before dashing off to pack her things.
The Next Morning
Akira and Shinobu stood at the village entrance, ready for the long journey ahead. Shinobu's excitement was palpable, but Akira remained calm and composed, his thoughts on the challenges that lay ahead.
"Are you ready, Akira-kun?" Shinobu asked, her smile lighting up her face.
"Of course," Akira replied, a small smile tugging at his lips as they set off.
One Day into the Journey
The road stretched ahead of them as they made their way toward the Demon Slayer selection site. Shinobu, usually full of energy, was unusually quiet. After some time, she hesitated, her face flushing slightly before speaking.
"Akira... can we rest under that Sakura tree for a bit?"
Akira, though not tired, nodded and they made their way to the tree, sitting in its shade. The delicate pink petals fluttered around them, creating a serene atmosphere. Shinobu, her heart racing, looked up at Akira, trying to gather the courage to say what was on her mind.
"Akira..." she began softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Will you... make me your woman?"
Akira blinked in surprise, his heart skipping a beat at the unexpected confession. He could see how nervous she was, her hands trembling slightly. In his previous life, such a question might have come in the form of a simple request for a date, but in this world, it wasn't unusual for such directness.
"Do you mean like... a wife?" he asked gently, his voice soft.
Shinobu nodded, her cheeks turning a deeper shade of pink.
"I know you might have feelings for Kanae too," she continued, her voice steady but filled with emotion. "And maybe you'll love other girls one day. But I don't care. I know you'll love me just the same, no matter what."
Akira's heart softened as he looked at her. He reached out, gently brushing his fingers across her cheek. "If you're okay with sharing my heart, I'd be honored to have you by my side, Shinobu. I could never forget someone as precious as you."
He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. Shinobu's breath hitched, her entire face flushed with warmth as she looked up at him with wide eyes.
"I've loved you since we were kids, Akira," she admitted quietly, her voice filled with sincerity. "You've always been there for me, always protecting me. I trust you more than anyone."
Akira smiled, his eyes warm with affection. "Then it's a promise. But... we'll wait until you're older before we take that next step. Is that okay with you?"
Shinobu nodded, understanding his concern but still feeling her heart swell with happiness. "I can wait, Akira. I'll wait as long as it takes."
Over the next few days, they continued their journey, the bond between them growing stronger. Every moment they spent together, fighting demons or simply walking in silence, deepened their connection.
Five Days Later
Akira and Shinobu finally arrived at the final selection site, ready to take the test that would determine their future as Demon Slayers. As they stood side by side, their hands brushed briefly before Shinobu smiled up at Akira.
"Let's do this together," she whispered.
Akira nodded, his resolve firm. "Together."
