Gideon was unaware of how much time had passed when he opened his eyes. Moreover, he felt that his head was laid down on something soft as he didn't feel the cold heart ground beneath him.
"You're awake." A sweet and melodious voice entered his ears as a face appeared above his. When he saw the face, Gideon understood where he was. He was currently laid down of Victoria's lap.
"Victoria." That was the first thing that came out of his mouth as he raised his hand and lightly touched her face. Victoria didn't resist and let him caress her gently.
"We did it huh?" Gideon slowly asked, still a bit groggy from his brief unconsciousness.
"Mhm. Marcus is gone." Victoria replied gently, though a bit a excitement could still be heard in her tone.
"That's great!" Gideon couldn't help but exclaim happily before laughing.
"Hold on, where's Lisk?" Gideon suddenly remembered the third member of their party and slowly got up from Victoria's laps.
