Chapter 37 - CHAPTER 36: TRAINING RESULTS AND SIA'S TRAINING

The rabbit with four tails had come out of its home to look for food as it usually did. Even though it wasn't exactly smart it knew that there weren't many beings that could catch it. So its race thrived quite well in the wilderness.

However, recently, there was this weird two legged creature that kept trying to catch it which confused the rabbit. Shouldn't it know that it will fail each time? So why did it keep coming?

The rabbit's simple mind asked each time it saw the two legged creature. But it didn't bother too much though, as it knew that it wouldn't be caught no matter how much the creature could never catch it. Well, that is what it thought.

The rabbit's instincts screamed at it to run. But before it could even get its legs ready, it was suddenly swooped up by a pair of strong hands and it tried to break free but it was simply outclassed.

"Gotcha b*tch!"Gideon said with a grin as he watched the rabbit struggling in his hands. He had succeeded, and on the last day as well.

"Well done." Draven as usual appeared out of nowhere and congratulated Gideon.

"Heh, thanks." Gideon smiled slightly.

"Anyway, what are we gonna do with this rabbit anyway?" Gideon asked .

"Hm? Oh I didn't tell you, this rabbit's meat is simply divine, there aren't many that can compare with it." Draven said as his usually indifferent eyes became dreamy as if he was reminiscing the taste causing Gideon to become speechless.

'Hold up, is he a foodie?' Gideon suddenly realized.

'I thought that the thing of masters having weird habits was in novels or something? Is this how it really is? Also wasn't I just used as an errand boy?' Gideon couldn't wrap his mind around it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Okay I now know why you wanted this much. This sh*t slaps." Gideon couldn't help but praise the food as he took another bite.

"Mhm." Victoria made a noise of agreement as her mouth was full. She had woken up and Draven decided that she wouldn't do the last training stage out of concern for her wellbeing despite knowing that she was probably fine.

"Told you." Draven said simply as he took a bite allowing the duo to see his face for the first time.

He actually looked very young and looked to be in his twenties, though he was probably much older than he looked. He had pearly white teeth and thin pink lips. He had a fairly sharp jawline and perfectly shaped eyebrows.

'If I was a girl and if Victoria was older, then we'd probably go after this guy.' Gideon thought without a care.

"Though I must say." Draven started.

"You guys talent genuinely surprised me. To be honest, I was actually against this plan, but seeing how fast you guys improved in just five days, then how much will you improve in eight years." Draven flashed them a smile.

"We're placing our holes in you two, don't let us down." Gideon and Victoria looked deeply at each other before smiling as well.

"We won't."

------------------------------------------------------------------------

"We'll be in your care." Gideon and Victoria said while bowing.

"We already told you two, no need to be so polite." Sia said while chuckling causing her ample bosom to shake.

'Control yourself child, she can kill you with a sneeze.' Gideon immediately shut down his own ideas.

"Anyway, thanks a lot for the help Draven, I'll take it from here." Sia said and Draven just gave her a peace sign before vanishing.

'That's a meme!' Gideon exclaimed in his mind.

"Alright then, let's get going." Sia said as the duo suddenly got surrounded orange fire that suspended them into the air.

'It's warm.' Victoria thought as she felt the strange flames.

"Their called fox flames if you're wondering, it's unique to my race." Sia said softly before she began to move and as usual, Gideon and Victoria's surroundings blurred as they moved at insane speeds.

'I wonder what her training is going to entail.' The two of them couldn't help but think.

Eventually, they reached their destination and it turned out to be a huge grassland with blades of grass that stretched on as far as one could see.

And unlike their two previous teachers, Sia actually let them down carefully.

"Baal taught you about fighting and Draven taught you about stealth. I'm going to teach you guys about magic." Sia explained and Gideon and Victoria nodded in understanding.

"Though, just know that my training won't be any easier that the previous two, so prepare you mind." Sia warned seriously and one again, the duo nodded.

"Great, now this will be the first stage of your training. You will need to be able to absorb astral energy while moving." Sia said simply while the duo suddenly felt like their breathing stopped.

Absorb astral energy while moving. Sounds easy? How wrong. If anything it's probably one of the hardest things a mage can do. Why? Because one needs to be in a state of absolute concentration and pretty much use their willpower to attract the elemental particles towards themselves. To achieve absolute concentration while moving, easier said than done. It's like multitasking but a hundred times worse.

"I know it sounds outrageous, but don't worry, I'll guide you guys through." Sia reassured slightly calming the two.

"For now, all I want you to do is walk a bit while absorbing the astral energy. So I want you to start meditating, and try to make some small movements as you meditate. You'll slowly go on from there." After Sia instructed them, they both got into a meditative position and started to meditate.

After a minute or so, the two of them began to absorb the elemental particles. Gideon covered in green and Victoria covered in purple.

'Move.' Gideon and Victoria attempted to move their fingers and almost immediately, they felt their absorption rate reduce merely from them directing some of their attention into moving a single finger.

"Slowly, don't get ahead of yourselves and try to improve at you own pace." Sia's voice sounded in their ears.

'Slow and steady wins the race.' Gideon silently chanted in his mind and soon, an hour had passed.

'Come on!' Gideon unconsciously gritted his teeth. He had managed to move his hand and was trying to bend his elbow currently. Slowly but surely, his elbow was bending, but his brain felt like it was splitting in two as he constantly divided his attention.

"Haa~ haa~" Gideon had to stop, his brain felt like someone was stabbing it with knives causing his face to pale.

"You did great, don't worry." Sia assured as she looked at his from above. Gideon looked to his side and saw Victoria who was already unconscious.

'This will take a while.' He thought before promptly passing out.
