Besides the Dynasty Faction, there were two other Factions that held significant power among the Hellspawn that had gained intelligence. They were the Paragon and Neutral Faction.
Among the three, the Paragon Faction and the Dynsaty Faction were at odds with one another due to differing interests and views while the Neutral held it's own set of beliefs while viewing the beliefs of the two other factions with a Neutral position. Thus it was a sort of mediator whenever things got too out of hand.
However, with the appearance of the 8th, potentially 9th ranked Flame Pool, even they were interested, and thus it was inevitable that with such a big cake, all three powers would be interested in seizing it for themselves.
It was clear that a huge battle was going to be fought soon, however, this was all put on hold due to the strange yet alarming event that had happened.
