"What do you want?" Gideon asked with an indifferent expression.
"Oof, was I that obvious?" Ivan said and scratched his cheek. And to that Gideon just shrugged.
"From what I've observed about you, you're not the type of guy to visit someone uninvited and start complementing them. So yeah, it was pretty obvious." Gideon answered.
"I guess it can't be helped then." Ivan sighed and in an instant, his friendly demeanor melted away revealing a serious face.
"Down to business then. I assume you've heard about the devourers?" He asked and Gideon nodded.
"They suddenly appeared a week after the combined fleets retreated. Why?" Seeing that Gideon was indeed aware, Ivan said.
"Well, I'm just going to say it once. We need your help in taking them down." The room went silent.
Gideon stared at Ivan unblinkingly. Then his eyes narrowed in suspicion and his muscles tensed. This didn't go unnoticed by Ivan who quickly explained.
