When Gideon pointed ant the fleet, something strange happened to a large number of the crew members.
As they were getting ready to start attacking, a large number of them gripped their chests and fell dead on the floor.
This caused a huge commotion among the fleet and momentarily, the whole fleet was thrown into disarray.

It was very lethal, though the energy consumption was annoying to say the least.
