As Gideon went up the stage, he kept track of time in his mind. If Kosmo failed to get out with the small window of opportunity, then he'd have to ask the Patriarch for help. Something he was strongly trying to avoid since he didn't want to owe him another favor.
When he was on the stage, the veteran that had first spoken walked up to him and shook his hand.
"Don't say anything too fancy, but don't make it too short either." He whispered and Gideon nodded imperceptibly.
He then went on to shake hands with a few more people and then walked to the centered of the stage and instantly, millions of eyes fell on him.
He felt a twinge of nervousness but killed it immediately. He was just going to speak a part of his mind.
"People of planet Kepler." He started, his voice getting enhanced by the magic on the stage.
