"Hahaha, Mr Kingston I truly envy you, your daughter awakened dual magical affinities, and very strong ones at that." A muscular man wearing an extremely expensive blue suit praised.
"Thank you Conrad, my daughter is the pride of our Kingston family." Mr Kingston replied.
"Well this surely calls for a celebration." Conrad said.
"No need my friend, my daughter is quite timid around crowds, isn't that right Victoria?" Mr Kingston asked the small girl beside him.
The girl looked no older than six and had a cute face and slightly chubby cheeks which made anyone want to pinch them, yellow hair and blue eyes.
"Y- yes father." the girl answered shyly.
"ahh, that's a shame, well I guess I will be taking my leave now." Conrad said and did a slight how before leaving the house which was very large.
From a balcony near were Conrad and Mr Kingston were talking, a boy about the age of sixteen could be seen watching them.
The boy had green hair and green eyes with a straight nose and symmetrical pink lips, he was very handsome, however, anyone who saw him would immediately look at him in disdain and mockery.
His name was Gideon Kingston, but people preferred to call him rat poison, due to his very weak poison affinity.
There were ten elements, namely, fire, water, earth, air, ice, lightning, darkness, light, space, and poison.
From birth, Gideon had a very weak poison affinity and because of this, he was scorned by his peers and even his own parents as he was constantly bullied without the power to retaliate.
His parents treat him with disdain saying that the only reason they kept him was because disowning him would tarnish the family name.
Suddenly however, Victoria came along. She was praised by everyone around her and treated like a princess, but despite that, she loved Gideon very much.
She would do her best to cheer him up when he was down and would even do his chores for him, though she was constantly reprimanded by her parents, she didn't care.
But today, Gideon would be sent to a military school. When this happened, Gideon didn't even flinch as he expected this to happen, but Victoria had cried endlessly and only calmed down when Gideon assured her that he would visit.
As Gideon was watching, the door suddenly opened and a scarred man wearing a military uniform stood at the door with a stern expression.
"Mr Kingston, it is time for your son to leave." the man said.
"Ah, yes yes yes, I'll go fetch him right away." Mr Kingston replied, almost sounding happy.
"GIDEON, PACK YOUR THINGS, YOU'RE LEAVING NOW!!!" He shouted and Gideon swiftly went to his room and grabbed his luggage which consisted of a few sets of clothes, his communicator which looked like a watch but had all the functions of a phone, alarm, and much more. Lastly, he took a steel dagger from under his pillow and put it on his belt strap.
He then went downstairs and saw his father who was waiting there impatiently while Victoria was on the verge of crying.
Gideon quickly walked over to her and knelt, a warm smile showing on his expressionless face.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure to bring back lots of gifts and toys okay?" Gideon reassured as he patted her head.
"*Sniff* Okay, I'll be waiting for you." She said with a forced smile.
"*Ahem* I'm sorry but we need to go now." The military man said coldy and Gideon's face became expressionless again as he stood up.
He carried his luggage and followed the man into a futuristic military vehicle that was hovering 2 feet off the ground.

Author: Okay, I've been seeing a bunch of comments stating why space shouldn't be there as an element or since space is there, then things like time or fate or karma should appear as well, so I'm just gonna give it to you guys straight.
First of all, this is a fantasy book. Anything applies, and if you don't like that, then you can leave.
Second, I put space there because it is as present as every other element.
Time isn't there because earth isn't the only planet that can use astral energy, and they happen to not have access to time. Yeah I spoilt for you guys.
Fate can't be there because my characters don't believe in that, and they make their own fate, so it doesn't apply.
Karma follows the same principle as space.
And yeah, that's all.
