'Survived a near death experience? So if we didn't run away we could have died.' *Phew* Silver felt a chill down his bones thinking they could have died earlier. 'Don't hurt any animals and humans for 1 week? In this forest? Let's try if I can finish it this week. Wow, this ability is insane. It is truly fit for a Survivalist skill. It almost covers all areas, now just regeneration of lost limbs and this would have been godly.'
He felt as if Bear Grylls is pointing at him saying the words. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
30 second after Grylls injected himself with his ability, black smoke started rising from the fang marks. Then his inflamed limbs started to shrink. 10 mins later, almost everything went back to normal.
"Weird, why is my right cheek still hurting and inflamed. Was it administered with a different type of venom?" Grylls held his swollen cheek looking for any puncture wounds to get sample from.
"Don't worry about it, it was smacked by a large snake when I was trying to pull you out." 'Yup, definitely the snake. I'm sticking to that.'
Grylls conjured a healing salve and applied it to his cheeks and to the puncture wounds all over his limbs. "What happened? The last I remembered we were going to the waterfall."
"You didn't remember, anything after that?"
"No." He tried but could not remember a thing.
"The basin was a trap made by someone or something. When we were approaching, it suddenly become murky as if spores were scattered all over. I tried calling out to you, but you kept going. Even though you got bitten by those snakes, you acted as if it doesn't even matter." He pointed to the snakes with smashed head at the sides. The snakes are still squirming a little even though he can no longer feel any Aura from them.
"Hmmm, These are naga-cobras. Would have killed me a couple more minutes if you haven't slowed down the spread. And what do you mean, someone or something?" Grylls inquired.
"Well, when we we're escaping I saw a woman's head pop out of the basin. Its hair however looks like snakes. And I'm pretty sure I saw them move."
"The description suggests it to be a naga." Grylls answered with wide eyes. "We were lucky only one of us got charmed. It is one of those monsters that reside within the forest that I told you about. It spread its pheromone in the air that looks like spore and charms any of the opposite gender."
"It is a class C in the hunter monster list. Although one in the lower tier of the list."
"Class C? There are different classes?" Silver brows narrowed.
"Yes there are, depending on their strength and threat level they are classified by class from E to A. In general, Class E are mosters who don't know how to use Nen. Class D are monsters who use basic Nen, mostly Ken and Ren to increase their own strength. Class C are those who use Nen and are capable of creating their own ability but is no threat value to the human population. Class B are Nen ability user who threatens the human population. Class A is catastrophe level." Grylls explained as he breath heavily while recovering.
"If Nagas are class C, then what are their ability? And why are they not a threat to the human population? One of them appearing in the city will cause mayhem."
"The pheromones they excrete are their usual abilities along with manipulating snakes. If nothing else is out of the ordinary, those two will be their only ability. Nagas are documented to be ambush predators. They lure and wait for prey instead of actively hunting, so them going to the city is highly unlikely."
"So what do we do next?" Asked Silver.
"It is late, we should go back and tell the others that Nagas are around these parts of the forest."
"What happened to you? You look like your feet passed through a shredder." -Nellie
"More like a dog who got caught by a bear trap." -Bradford.
"...Pathetic. Just another weakling." -Slade.
"I thought you were the one who should be looking out for Silver, not the other way around? Haha" -Marco
"I know right!" Silver laughed along with the group.
"Get your shit together and huddle up. You're late." Lara remarked coldly.
"Hey, I remembered you being kinder to Silver." Grylls dejectedly bantered.
"You're not Silver, aren't you?" -Lara.
*Ooof* <
"Oh wow! How the turn tables! Hahaha" Silver patted Grylls back while laughing.
"So, there are nagas in these part of the forest. This changes things. Apart from Nellie and Lara, if we are not careful we can die without even knowing how." Marco concernedly commented.
"Nagas also are only classified Class C so we can't request an extermination team from the Hunter Association." Added Lara.
"I can create an antidote for them using my ability but I can't be in four places at the same time." Grylls offered in the discussion.
"You don't have to. Nagas pheromones only affects the opposite gender and male nagas are generally non-Ability users lowering them to class D. And nagas are known to ambush their prey near the bodies of water. So we change plans. I'll take on the stretch of the river while the three of you stay clear from the waters." Suggested Lara.
"Let's go with your plan. It will be dangerous for you. Although they are generally downplayed, they are still Class C. You need someone else to look out for you." He looked around and spotted Silver. "You'll be teaming with Silver. With his web shooting thing he can pull you out of the danger zone when needed. While Grylls will be going solo again. Any objections?"
