"What the fuck are you doing, Victor?" Alex shouted. From her perspective, it seemed like Victor had been the one licking her face, not Ysmir! Devotion held in a chuckle. That was just too funny.
"What do you mean? We just saved your life!" Victor replied, oblivious to what it seemed like was going on.
"Whatever. I'll remember this down the road, but let's not dwell on it." Alex said, rubbing her eyes and head. It seemed she was still in a bit of pain. "When did he get here?" Alex asked, motioning towards Devotion, who she had just noticed was standing there.
"He's who we have to thank for not being dead right now. Showed up right at the nick of time, too." Victor briefly explained. Ysmir ran to his leg, pawing at him. "Ysmir gets credit, too. It's what led him here." Victor said, reassuring the fox. Upon receiving its proper credit, Ysmir calmed down and returned to Alex, continuing to lick her face.
