Devotion was unbelievably excited. He had finally found some practical use for his burnt hands! If he touched them to any energy, the runes would instinctually destroy that energy. The only problem was that he had to get close enough to do so.
"Can you stop gawking and help me out?" Leza's panicked voice suddenly shouted out, pulling Devotion out of his temporary trance.
Devotion instantly snapped out of it, turning and facing Leza. She was currently locked in an intense fight with another cultivator, one who wore a hood over their head. Both of them were riddled with injuries. Leza appeared especially wretched, a large cut going up her entire backside. That hooded cultivator was fighting with two daggers, too close for Leza to make any distance to fire her bow. She was at an immense disadvantage.
