" good morning mom " Eli greeted her mom and kissed her cheek " morning dear, sleep well?" her mom asked with a smile, Eli nodded and smiled,she scanned the house with her eyes turning her head a little to search for her dad. She did that because her mom and dad are inseparable.
She turned to face her mom " mom..... where is dad" she asked staring at her mom, " mmm.... over there " her mom said pointing at the TV , she stared at the TV confused " there? " she asked confusion written all over her face, her mom smiled and looked towards the kitchen " make use of your nose " Eli stared at her mom " i think my nose is sick " she said with a frown ,her mom stared back at her for some minutes and burst into laughter " your nose...too pretty to be sick, common there's nothing wrong with your nose" she cupped her daughter's little face in her hands and smiled " honey your nose is too pretty to be sick , dad is preparing breakfast, I know you're hungry by now . If you want you can join him"
" what about you " she asked staring intently at her mom " won't you join us"
her mom smiled and said, " no i'm staying here , you go stay with your dad , i'm feeling tired " she released her daughter's face, her daughter stared at her for awhile " tired? too much work last night?" , Eli's mother smiled at her " hey , go now " she said to her daughter in a whisper. Eli went to the kitchen to stay with dad while her mom stayed in the living room .
The door bell rang , Julia , Eli's mom went to get the door,she stared at the man standing at the door,she smiled and said politely " hello " the man looked at her from head to toe without saying a word , seeing this she then asked him " how can I help yo...." before she could finish the man shot right at the center of her head the sound of the gun shot echoed in the house .
Hearing the gun shot , Frost , Eli's father said to his daughter " stay here and do not come out " then he left to check what had happened.
He walked out and was shot at the chest , he looked at his wife lying lifeless on the floor and then at the man " Jude " the man stared at him " you think I'll let you off." Frost stared at him tears running down his cheek " what do you want."
" What else, kill your family" he paused and continued " this woman here " he stated pointing at Julia's dead body " was my first love, what did you do, you took her away from me and then she fell in love with you. i've taken her life and I'll take yours "he paused for a second and continued " you think I'll forget what you did huh , this is a pay back gift from me to you " he said and shot him at the head.
In the kitchen Eli was listening to the conversation with her mouth agape and eyes filled with tears she knew she would die if she don't escape , she looked at the kitchen door and escaped through it running without looking back.
