Chapter 34 - Finally Some Peace

Kett opened her eyes. It was Sage. "Sage, what are you doing here?" She asked. "Well, you were late. So, I came looking for you. What happened?" "I was gonna steal some food from the cafeteria on my way. But-" "You got caught." Sage finished the sentence for her. Kett sighed. "But what happened to this man?" Sage asked looking at the cafeteria owner who was lying on the floor. "I don't know. I think I possess mind power." "Cool." He checked the man's pulses. "He's dead. Now, let's move on." "What about the other dead body?" Kett asked. "Oh! I already cleaned it out." "Sage! You're a life saver." Kett hugged him out of relief. "ofcourse I am." Sage replied, grinning. "Now, now, don't get high." Kett said, rolling her eyes.

They wrapped the dead body in a rug and carried it into the garden. Soon it was buried under the ground. None of them noticed the black rose which grew on the exact spot as they hurried out of the garden. "Now what?" Kett asked as they were running along the corridors. "Let's go to our secret room. Maybe we will get a way to escape. Or at least we can hide in there." "Yeah. Let's go." Both of them squeezed themselves into the secret room. They sighed as they jumped on to the couch and stretched themselves. Sage pulled out two cans of coke and Kett produced some bacon from underneath her rug. They had a little meal and had some rest. They cleaned themselves with some wet wipes and changed into the new gowns. After a little talk they decided to spend the night there. They spread rugs on the floor and made it comfortable. Both of them lied on the rugs and fell fast asleep as the moon replaced the sun far away in the sky.
