Chapter 6 - Puzzled

Seconds after this arrival the door opened again and a policeman appeared. "Excuse me Miss, can I know your name please?" Asked the policeman. But she didn't reply. Instead she stayed frozen to the spot, her eyes tightly fixed on Kett's dead body. "Miss, your name please" asked the police officer again. She suddenly looked distracted and spoke up. "Oh! I'm Emma, Emma Dankworth." "Will you mind giving us some more information?" "Oh yes, sure" "which one of these dead bodies you came here to encounter?" He questioned. "Kett McMillan's" she answered cautiously. "But how did you know that she is dead? We didn't get the chance to inform anyone yet." He asked suspiciously. "We are bound by blood. I do no require to be informed." Her speech was so different from what Kett had heard before. "So are you her sister?" The police officer asked. "Yes." She couldn't stop her lips from mumbling that. "Oh no. She is my best friend." She corrected instantly as if she was mislead by something previously. "Okay. Are there any other people who will be included in her funeral?" "No. She had no family." "Okay then. You can now see your friend before we get her body cremated tomorrow." Said the police officer. Emma suddenly looked shocked. "Cremated? Are you planing to burn my sister?" She yelled at the policeman furiously. "There's no way I am going to let that happen. Burrow her body in the graveyard of mistle-stop at midnight. That's enough." The police officer, shaken by the sudden outburst, accepted the unexpectedly incensed suggestion and left the mortuary. Emma made herself near Kett's body. But instead of looking at it, she looked up and talked to the atmosphere above. "Don't worry Alessia. I've come to save you. You can't die. Not until you meet me, sister." " What? How come Emma knows that I'm up here? Why did she call me Alessia? And why is she behaving so odd?" Kett wondered floating in the dark. "Is she aware about all the weird things which are happening around me then? If so why didn't she help me before?"
