I was already weary after practicing with Alpha Colton and had to go to my next lesson already panting. Xavier's expression of worry was clear. "I suppose Colton overworked you. Did he not?" He beckoned for me to have a seat on the sofa. He was bringing me a sparkling glass of water and giving it to me.
"What exactly is it?" I stared at the water, which was shimmering, and then I looked at Xavier, smiling at my perplexed expression. "It will assist you in swiftly rejuvenating and regaining your vitality." He said.
"You appeared melancholy," I mentioned drinking sparkling water, which tasted delicious but helped me gradually recover from tiredness.
"Aria, I've always been like that." He didn't look me in the eye when he stated this. Xavier then proceeded to the enchanted globe, which changed color as he swirled his palm around it. I didn't know what type of Gargoyle magic he used, but I kept staring at him as the power shone and his eyes focused intently on it.
"Xavier…." His eyes met mine when I called him gently, disrupting his concentration on the spell. I clenched my fists on the chair as the magic got more muscular, and as I moved closer to him, I could feel the intensity of his stare growing. I was afraid.
"Are you alright, Xavier?" I got off the sofa. He closed the space between us. Xavier still looked to be dazed by the enchantment.
I reached out and caressed his face, and he leaned into the contact I made with him. Then, slowly, the enchantment left the room, but it seemed hypnotic, and Xavier was not in his right mind.
"What occurred?" Xavier inquired and seeing as how close we were and how my hand was on his cheeks, I swiftly withdrew my hand.
There was a hypnotic expression on your face after visiting the magic globe and doing some magic. After hearing what I had to say, Xavier swiveled his torso to look at the sphere, remaining still and unchanging.
"So, you will teach me how to use this magical sphere, correct?" Xavier turned to look at me when I inquired. "No, I went to check on my realm for security, but...they could see nothing except blackness and drift into nothingness." He said that while struggling to shake his thoughts loose.
"It's strange, but when I touched you...which my intuition told me, the enchantment left the room," As I was wondering on my own, Xavier's gaze fell on me, and I arched a brow in return to his stare.
"Aria, I notice you're OK and not panting, so let's head to the café you decided on." I nodded and glanced at my shabby attire, which I knew wouldn't be appropriate for a café visit. "Change, and I'll wait for you," I stepped out of the room but stopped as I glanced over my shoulder at Xavier and then the magical sphere. I didn't feel safe leaving Xavier behind with that unknown magic.
"Xavier, could you just wait outside my room and leave?" He stared at me, aware of why I was requesting to do so, and he followed me, during which I heard numerous groups of women muttering.
I didn't even mind hearing them since I could sense the envy in the air, and I moaned inwardly at these women's Jealous because it is hard to get Xavier's attention. I cast a sidelong look at Xavier, who wore a poker face.
He understands the Royals should be adept at masking their emotions since they interact with a wide range of human emotions. The other might misconstrue an expression from one of them, which could have disastrous consequences.
We made it to my room's silent hallway. "I'll be there quickly." He flashed a grin at me as I hurriedly took a shower, changed into trousers, and put on a sleeveless t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Then, with my mid-length hair down, I stepped out of my room, finding Xavier standing with his back against the wall, his eyes closed, and he opened his gaze, hearing my footsteps.
Xavier led me to a door that led to a town in the magical dimension. Where all businesses were conducted and where restaurants and cafes were located.
The bustling and hustling commotion welcomed my heart, and I could feel the enchantment dancing on my skin, which told me. I was in a magical city.
"This is your first visit here." When Xavier looked over his shoulder, I knew he was awaiting my gaze, but I had already visited this location in a previous life, so I put on an expression of surprise to make it seem like this was my first time.
"What a delightful surprise, Mr.Dame." The proprietor of the coffee shop got up and walked when he spotted us coming up behind him. When he caught my eye and smiled, I returned the favor. "So, I take it that this lady is your girlfriend." Xavier gave me a nod, and I flashed him a look, but he didn't pay any attention.
With no one in the room save the magic menu in front of us, we found ourselves in the VIP area of the café. "I'm sorry, Aria; I know you're angry." I glared at him. "Why would you do that... I don't like to be called girlfriend," he sighed.
"You are the first lady who despises this label; most of the ladies I dated were content with it." My anger grew because of his statements, but they did not diminish.
"I am not like the other ladies you've dated. I'm not fond of dates and such, Xavier." He raised his eyebrow at me, and I frowned.
"Anyway, just let's leave that issue. We need to talk about Eva," he said. I took a deep breath and exhaled, then nodded as we placed the order and waited for them to arrive. Again, I waited for Xavier to speak. "I attempted to plant a spy on Eva, but even he was killed." Xavier's comments were tinged with irritation and fear.
"This Eva isn't your average college student; she has cosmic plans."
"So, Xavier, what do you expect from me?" As he drank his coffee. "I need you to accompany me to my world because I sense something behind my back that I cannot see." I gave a puzzled expression.
"I thought you were talking about Eva and then requesting to follow you into your world. I'm not sure I understand." He smirked as I asked him a question.
" I wanted to tell you about Eva since you are my alliance. There is a strong possibility that Eva and my realm are connected somehow. I see you have excellent control in a fight. If I am in danger, I can rely on you." He explained.
"What makes you say that? This is a serious charge." I stated that with astonishment since Eva had always carried out actions that were beneficial to the magical world in my life before.
"I'm aware of this, which is why I need to go to my world to observe things with my own eyes." However, Xavier points out that the two spies that died back-to-back were not accidental. So I wonder why she's injuring or targeting Gargoyles right now.
"We have a mission in two days. How will I accompany you into the realm when I know Dean Mark will not allow us to go?" He smirked at me devilishly.
"Who said we are going to the dean's office to seek permission? We'll go without it." It left me speechless, and I just gazed at him. He drank his coffee with a sneer on his attractive face.
"Why are we leaving without the dean's permission? You must be nuts. If he discovers this, he'll have us grounded for three months and bar us from going on missions." He rolled his eyes as I saw his actual nature. I thought he was a fine man who didn't violate the laws and followed them.
"I couldn't care less about punishment, Aria. But when my life and world are both on the line," it held His expression with seriousness.
"Geez, Fine, I'll accompany you, but if I vanish, Maggie will notice since she usually follows me."
He sighed and looked at me. "We'll be leaving late at night. Don't tell me she sleeps in your room."
I sip my latte as I hide my smile.
"Wait a minute, how are we going to get there? The security of the campus is strict." Xavier removed precious stones as payment. Dollars do not exist in the magical world; instead, valuable stones are used as payment since the stones are a source of both magic and value.
"I have my methods; Aria met me on the rooftop at 01:00 am sharp." After that, we return to the grounds of the institution. Maggie is still in her continuing lesson when I make my way to my room.
I felt the same weird enchantment I had sensed in the Xavier training room. Looking around, I see a dark shadow crouching behind a pillar. I moved, but I felt the energy attempting to absorb mine, so I employed a spell to protect my power from being taken. But my eyesight is blurring, and I still stride towards the pillar to look.
