The King stared in confusion as the little man rolled back and forth on his floor. Clearly, the mortal soul was having a mental break.
A glowing golden light appeared in the hands of the King. He pushed outwards and it washed directly over Eddy.
"Ahhhh...what was that for?" Eddy stood up, covered in a glowing golden liquid.
The King nodded, "Have you regained your mental faculties, mortal?"
Eddy smirked, "Never had them in the first place, big guy."
The King simply blinked rapidly.
Eddy gestured the King to forget about it and he moved on, "So, about my family. My dad is going to be PISSED when he finds out this was an "Act of God" and the insurance company doesn't want to pay for it."
The King frowned, "It will be taken care off. Disrupting the mortal plane was not to occur in the first place." The King closed his eyes for a moment, "It is done."
"What? Just like that?" Eddy was floored.
The King squinted, "I am the highest ranked Divine being in this universe. Yes. Just like that."
Before Eddy could interject, he continued, "It would seem that this misfortune is known to mortals. I believe you call this "isekai" where you are from?"
Eddy nodded, "It is pretty popular in Anime and Manga."
The King sighed, "I understand the laughter. BUT. This is not going to be a walk of cake for you."
Eddy mumbled, "Cakewalk, but anyways. Why not? What happened, happened. I am going to die anyways, other reincarnations or whatever are not REALLY me. This is the final trip for this soul, how could that not be fun?"
The King pinched his brow, "You think you are getting magical powers and plan on getting a harem, right?"
Eddy shrugged, "Not exactly, but I want to explore another world, do some magic, become a noble. I don't know man. I wasn't that into the genre, but it sounds like a bonus."
"Bonus?" he repeated.
"Yeah, I am supposed to be dead right now, this is literally the icing on the cake." Eddy waved his hand, "I don't need to be a super-powered battle maniac. I just want to be strong enough to protect myself and the ones around me. I would prefer to get settled in and live a rather peaceful life. Maybe hang out with some other peasants, who knows."
The King's eyes gleamed, "I can arrange that, actually, we can do you better."
The glow stopped and a pulling was felt in Eddy's chest, "Uh, what are you doing."
The eyes of the King landed on him and blasted away all lies, "Do you trust me, boy?"
Eddy stammered, he could ONLY speak the truth, "Y-YES!"
Then a vacuuming force was applied to his soul.
Eddy shouted, "WAIT, WHERE AM I GOING!"
"You are being sent to do great things." The King sighed and looked longingly at him, "Great things."
Eddy was stunned for a moment.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN YOU SON OF A BI--" A closing and popping sound could be heard as he slipped through the dimensional barrier.
----------------------
Eddy slowly opened his eyes, his head was killing him. The room around him was filthy, and smelled like literal death.
"I'm going to hurl." He rolled over out of bed and grabbed his wooden bucket.
'Wooden bucket?'
A metaphysical light-bulb lit up and then shattered.
"My family..." he was mournful, but hopefully they would be able to move on.
Then he projectile vomited a pure black substance. It coated the whole bucket in moments.
"OH-HURGGG-OH GOD." He was doing his best to not get it everywhere.
Then loud footsteps could be heard, heavy boots were stomping or marching through the small building.
*HURGGG* "This sucks." Eddy didn't even notice when a man in gleaming plate armor walked in with a chilled expression.
The man sniffed the air, "Metal?" Then he smirked, "Boy, come with us."
Eddy looked at the man with a grown expression of, "Bro, what the fuck, didn't you just see I was fucking throwing up, nevermind." Then he stood up and walked with the guard.
They turned quickly out of the room, then he noticed, 'Ah. That is 16 freaking guards for a child.'
'Either I am a fucking PRINCE, or I am getting executed for summoning a Demon God or some bullshit.' He sighed and just marched with them, trying to gauge a reaction.
One of the guards smiled at his attempt to "March" with them.
'That dude smiled. HE SMILED. Okay, not getting executed. NICE.'
Eddy leaned in and asked, "Sir, where are we going?"
He smiled once more and replied, "We are going to the Palace to see His Majesty."
Eddy was pretty hyped.
They got to the carriage and it took Eddy forever to climb it. The men around him were giggling until a Captain silenced them with a glare.
People were gawking and some men and women were saluting the carriage as they passed them.
In the mean time, Eddy looked down for the first time.
'My body is tiny, I must be 11? Maybe 12? I need some good food if I want to break 6 foot in this life.'
He rubbed his hands, they were stronger than he would expect. He had calluses on his thumb and index finger from cleaning the dishes every night...
'Wait, I did WHAT?'
He rubbed the callus and could feel the spots that would rub with the tin pans.
'How much longer will this ride be?' He was getting impatient to find out why a "low born" like himself was meeting His Majesty.
They began a curve and he could see the guards inside double checking their equipment. Then, like a dam bursting, they stopped and 5 men flowed from each side of the carriage.
This was a lot, or maybe normal. But they picked him up and carried him down the steps of the carriage in a single bound.
'Way to ignore PHYSICS! FUCK YES, MAGICAL WORLD!'
He was smiling like the Court Fool as they walked in.
Huge and open spaces dominated the area. The decorations were mostly huge scrolls that had history depicted from an ancient Era, then they had their standard portraits, and then a simple throne made from a black Iron.
A voice boomed, "Welcome, young one."
The force was impressive.
Then Eddy realized, 'NOBODY COACHED ME ON WHAT TO DO WHEN I MEET THE BLOODY KING!'
Eddy went with the standard kneel and felt no familiar sensations like with the callus.
"No, young one." The King was frowning, "You do not have to do that today."
The guards walked forwards and Eddy sat on the small pillow provided.
They seamlessly formed rows around the throne as if it was their natural state of being.
The King climbed down the stairs and sat next to Eddy, he could see the youth in this mans face from up close. He was but a young man, not a King. Maybe 25 at most.
'My age...'
Then the King let out a sigh.
"I must inform you, that your mother and father passed away in the Battle of Blackridge." The King silently began to weep.
'What?'
