Chapter 25 - Part 22 - Just A Title

Now in the topside, Viktor resides inside of his room, while staring at the tube of shimmer that he received. After staring at it, and pondering over if he's truly going to take this route, he finally comes to the decision.

Viktor tilts his head back, and pours the shimmer into his mouth. After swallowing, his body begins to change. The veins in his neck and arm begin to strain and glow a purple and pink color. He tilts his head back, as if he's feeling a great deal of pain. And when he drops the tube of shimmer, it leaves pieces of glass on his floor.

He falls to his knees, while gripping his hair tightly with both of his hands, and slouching over. He continues to grunt and sigh in pain, while the shimmer that he digested begins to spread throughout his body. "Aghh!" He screams. The entire time he freaks out, the stuffed animal that Sky gave him is pointed directly at him.

Moments later, Viktor is laying on the floor. The shards of glass from the tube is directly next to him. Viktor slowly begins to open his eyes. They're no longer the bright purple that they just were, and his veins are no longer glowing as well.

Viktor slowly begins to stand up. After standing up, and checking his surroundings, he quickly realizes that he had the power to stand up without any support. Furthermore, he's now walking around without the use of a cane.

Seemingly accomplishing so much, Viktor can't help but smile slightly. Not too long after, he walks out of his room, and begins running through the streets of Piltover with a new found strength.

Now that Caitlyn has been brought back by Marcus and the other enforcers, she's currently asleep on her bed. When she wakes up from her sleep, she flickers her eyes open. One of the first things that she sees, is her mom sitting at a desk of hers. "Mom..?" Caitlyn slowly sits up, while looking towards Cassandra

Cassandra turns to look at Caitlyn with a smile, before politely standing up, and walking towards Caitlyn. "What were you thinking?" Cassandra asks, while standing just over Caitlyn. With such a question, Caitlyns face drops to look more defeated. "You were so persistent about becoming an enforcer, despite the risks. I allowed it, under the impression that you would do as you're told, and not put your own life at risk. You know what you've been doing is out of place for a girl like you." Cassandra explains to Caitlyn, with Caitlyn not even looking in the direction of Cassandra.

"Mom, you can't shelter me forever. I was perfectly fine before Marcus and the others took me. I am strong, and capable, have you not realized that yet?" Caitlyn argues, now finally looking towards Cassandra.

Cassandra shakes her head while looking down at Caitlyn. She shakes her head in a way that displays heavy disappointment. "I asked Marcus to take your badge away. Remove you from your position as enforcer." Cassandra confesses. Caitlyn quickly stands up, and stares at her mom with disbelief and surprise at such a confession.

"You can't be serious. You do not have that power. That is Marcus choice, not yours." Caitlyn points out, while Cassandra begins to walk towards the door of Caitlyns room, completely unbothered

"Well, Marcus agreed rather quickly. As if he notices the very same things that I do." Cassandra confesses once again, with her hand on Caitlyns door knob. Because of such a confession, Caitlyns defeated face begins to rise. "If you want to help people, there are many other ways to go about that. Don't make me the villain here." Cassandra leaves Caitlyn with those words.

After the interaction, Caitlyn stands silent in her room, reflecting on all that's happened thus far. The more she reflects, the more her anger rises. As a result, she sits down on her bed, with her hands over her head due to stress.

While sitting down, someone suddenly knocks on her door. Caitlyn gets up, and checks the door. Once she does, she stands face to face with Marcus. She quickly realizes what this is about, thanks to the conversation with her mom. "You constantly disobey my orders. You even went as far as running away with a criminal. The only reason you aren't being prosecuted for that action, is because of your mom putting in a good word for you. You should thank her." Marcus says to Caitlyn.

"Sir, there's so much more going on than we initially thought. I don't have enough proof yet, but with just enough time, I can make things better for the people of Piltover." Caitlyn desperately points out, as if she's trying to fight the inevitable.

Marcus shakes his head in disappointment while looking at Caitlyn. "Your badge." Marcus demands with his hand out.

Caitlyn hesitates to give him her badge. "Please..I can really-"

"Badge." Marcus says once more. This time with a more raised voice than before. The two continued looking at eachother. It's clear that Caitlyn is extremely saddened and disappointed in the fact that she will no longer be an enforcer.

Despite that, she pulls the badge from her uniform, and hands it to Marcus. Once she hands it off to Marcus, he puts it away. "I'll be back to collect your uniform." Marcus informs, before walking away from Caitlyn.

Caitlyn then closes her door, and leans against it in distress. She slowly slides down, until she's sitting up against the door. Sadness quickly envelopes within her heart. Worry and concern follows after, after remembering the events that took place before she was knocked unconscious. Whether Vi and Lucy are okay remains a mystery to her.

That is until she remembers some vital information that she gained from the Undercity regarding Marcus and Silco. Once she remembers such details, she questions in her head what she's going to do from this point forward.
