Chapter 16 - Part 13 - The Past Never Dies

Silver is now in a frozen state, from staring at Jinx. While he looks at her, he recognizes that her faces alters between who she is now, and who she once was. "Powder.." Silver says in disbelief, as he drops the object Ekko gave to him. While the two look at eachother, Silver walks a bit closer to Jinx, to reassure himself that he's not losing his mind.

Jinx shakes her head, before chuckling and standing up. She quickly grabs her gun, and holds onto it tightly. "That's not my name anymore. Powder is long gone. She fell down a well, but maybe I'm not the only one." With a voice more trembly than usual, and narrow pupils from the anger that she's feeling, Silvers at a lost for words.

While continuing to stare at Silver, Jinx grabs the recording device from the desk, and begins to play it. "She's a danger to you. Eventually she will hurt you, maybe even kill you. You should leave her while you can. Just like I did." She only plays that part, before stopping it. Once Silver hears his own voice, he grows confused. It gets worst once Jinx moves in closer to him, with tears that begin to leak from her eyes.

Silver instantly feels remorse and guilt once he witnesses Jinxs crying face. He immediately remembers her as the young Powder from his past. "Is this why you left? Because I was a danger?! That's what you thought all along right? Everything you said when we were little, it was all bullshit?!" Jinx screams at Silver as she rubs the tears away from her eyes. Both of their heart rates begin to speed up, as Silver is slowly but surely backed into a corner by Jinx. "You even went as far as to take Lucy away!"

"How did you get that recording? Was Lucy recording our conversation?" Silver asks and Jinx immediately chuckles in disbelief.

Suddenly, she points her gun directly towards his head. "That's not important! I'm asking you a question, so why aren't you answering it?" Jinx questions Silver, and by this time, he's completely backed into the corner. "Shut up!" Jinx suddenly yells to the voices in her head, which takes her eyes off of Silver.

Silver immediately takes this opportunity to grab Jinx by the wrist. So that's what he does. The two of them struggle to gain the upper hand, while Jinx begins to cry more than she just was.

Silver manages to knock Jinx down to the ground, which also knocks the gun down to the ground. Both of their eyes instantly look towards the gun that was dropped. Jinx goes for the gun, and Silver runs out of the shack.

Jinx grunts in annoyance and anger, before running out of the shack as well. She watches as Silver sprints away. "That's right! Run away like you did before!!" Jinx screams out to Silver, while he continues to run. "Run away!" Jinx yells once more with a voice that begins to crack, and a face that starts to soften.

As Jinx watches Silver run away from afar, she starts to look intensely sad. Her lips begin to whimper, and her eyelids flicker more than they were in the shack. Her tears also roll down far past her cheek, to the point that they're hitting the ground. "You jerk.." Jinx says sadly, as she begins to sob.

Once she realizes herself crying, and her sadness, she suddenly lets out a violent scream, that can be heard for miles. After her scream, she walks inside of Silvers place. She destroys any and everything that she can see with wide eyes, violent tears, and gritting teeth. "Screw you..screw you..screw you!!!" She screams before breaking a glass mirror against the wall.

In the reflection of the broken glass, not only does she see her face covered in tears, but she also notices a cylinder like object in the background. It resembles the exact same one that Vi gave her when she was a kid.

Jinx turns around, and looks at the cylinder object. She then slowly walks over to it, and picks it up with confusion.

Silver ends up sitting in a dirty alleyway, filled with cloudy water, and rats. "Fuck." Silver says to himself, as he begins to cry against that very wall. When he looks up with those tears, all he can see is darkness.

The way Jinx is now. The way her eyes were looking, and the way she approached him earlier causes him to sob to himself. He feels guilty for leaving. But he also feels guilty for much more.

After crying, Silver comes to a conclusion. He stares straight ahead at the other wall in front of him, as he comes to the conclusion that he's going to be the one to take Jinx down. Because of this newfound determination, he makes his way to a place that he hasn't been to in forever.

The moment Silver walks inside of this small building, he's flooded with memories of when days were more simple. There he sees the dummies covered in pink and green neon splash. The same ones that Powder and Mylo would practice their shooting on.

Then he looks towards the couch. The one where Claggor and Lucy would goof off on at times. The more he looks, the more he remembers. Meaning the more emotional he begins to feel.

Lastly, he looks at the punching bag. The same one that he helped teach Powder how to hit on. While staring at the punching bag with watery eyes, he slowly moves the palm of his hand against it, wishing that he could absorb the innocence that this place used to inherit.

He closes his eyes, and leans his forehead against the punching bag, while hearing the laughter of what used to be. Slowly, he opens his eyes, removes his forehead from the punching bag, and puts his guard up.

As quick and ferocious as possible, Silver begins attacking the punching bag. Letting out grunts filled with anger and pain. The more he attacks, the more he stops hearing and seeing the memories around him. In an attempt to destroy them, and grow stronger, he continues attacking with all the strength that he has.

Suddenly, in his head, the punching bag takes on the image of Jinx with tears in her eyes. Because of this, Silver is immediately distracted and stops hitting. His eyelids begin to flicker, and he stumbles slightly at the sight of someone that he once loved. "No..No!" Silver screams to shake the image away, before punching the punching bag one last time with a loud scream. This breaks the punching bag, and knocks it down to the floor. Though breaking the punching bag, will never erase the memories of the past.

Not too long after, the next day finally arrives. In the morning while it's drizzling slightly, members of Piltover attend a funeral for all of the lost enforcers who died because of Jinx.

After the funeral, council members have a meeting within the council room. "I called Marcus over here to tell him and his men to search for Caitlyn and the missing gemstone." Mel informs the other council members

Heimerdinger shakes his head in disappointment. "I knew that it was foolish for such power to be in the hands of the public." Heimerdinger adds on with closed eyes.

Jayce looks towards Heimerdinger with annoyance as a result. "It wasn't released to the general public, it was stolen."Jayce argues, before Heimerdinger opens his eyes, and faces Jayce completely.

"It should've been more guarded." Heimerdinger acknowledges while the two begin to frown at eachother more and more.

While the two look at eachother with anger and aggravation in their eyes, Mel watches them closely. The other council members either block them out, or grow silent.

Jayce slowly starts to regain his composure, and even begins to smile, which shocks Heimerdinger a bit. "It will be..and when we get the gemstone back, our plan for the future will stay in motion." Jayce promises with a smile.

Immediately after that, Marcus barges into the room, which interrupts the argument between Jayce and Heimerdinger. All of the council members turn their heads towards Marcus, causing an awkward silence. "Um..I'm sorry if I intruded." Marcus apologizes to the council members while looking a them.

"Yes, sorry about that. You probably know this, but there have been two very recent attacks. Both of which share similarities of a painting that resembles a monkey. With roughly ten enforcers being murdered, Caitlyn and a gemstone is missing." Mel informs Marcus, while he stands politely and listens

"If you don't know what that looks like, it's a small blue sphere. Anyhow, we need you, and your toughest enforcers to travel to the Undercity in search for Caitlyn and the gemstone. We also need you to assemble a group of weaker guys to do the same here in the Topside." While Mel informs Marcus, Marcus begins to grow in thought.

"Is that doable?" Mel questions Marcus. With a bit of hesitation, and eyes all over Marcus, he agrees. "Yes ma'am. I can get on that right now." Marcus assures.

"Good. That is all." Mel says to Marcus, and Marcus leaves as a result.

Afterwards, Silco leaves his office room. While checking his surroundings and watching his back, he walks towards a large abandoned building towards the top of the Undercity. Inside of the buildings is dark, but extremely large and spacey. "I have a favor to ask of you all." Silco says to the dark void that's ahead of him.

Slowly, multiple footsteps begin to approach Silco. He stares into the darkness, without flinching at all. From the darkness comes Sevika and over a dozen other people besides her. All covered in tattoos and bruises. "There's a couple kids getting in the head of Jinx. With Jinx, we're fairly close to achieving our goal. You may know them, they go by the name of Silver and Lucy. Find both. If you can't find both, then prioritize Silver. When you find them, I want them alive." Silco says to Sevika and the other group of guys standing beside her. Afterwards, he gives Sevika and the rest a good description of how Silver and Lucy looks.

"If you're successful, I will pay you in large quantity." Silco promises to Sevika and the rest. After Sevika hears that promise, a devious smile quickly appears across her face.
