Upon his release from prison at the age of seventeen, Jason joined a small gang in Hell's Kitchen, and because of the skills he acquired in prison, he quickly rose to prominence in the gang.

Shortly thereafter, aspiring Wilson Fisk made him an offer, which Jason gladly accepted, becoming an ace fighter under him.

Over the next ten years, Jason's fierce fighting spirit led him to step over the bodies of his enemies and eventually become Fisk's right-hand man.

With a car, a house, savings, a pretty face, women, and hundreds of men in his charge, Jason at the age of twenty-seven was finally a winner in this life.
